I’m curious if the merger will prevent HMK from having to pay 25% in taxes for using offshore talent (if this bill passes)?

@6b8 AI is nowhere near taking over jobs in that company- IT DOESN’T WORK! Also - fyi you sound like a corp boot li---r bc DO YOU EVEN WORK HERE?!?
@6b8
The reason is the company wants cheap labor from another country. While making their profit in America
To he!! with personal information going offshore for even federal employees.
Right or wrong? We all know it’s wrong.
@2qa They were laid off with reason. Their jobs are either being done by AI or outsourced workers or their job was working for clients that were lost so there is no more need for their expensive salary and benefits. Not saying it's right or wrong but there is always a business reason to eliminate jobs and it's typically not any fault or wrongdoing by the people losing their job.
@2pp Probably too deep for you -- but posting this adolescent garbage discredits the good hard working capable people who were laid off without reason.
@OP HMK owns the outsourcing company and buildings in India so they are invested in making it work. They're looking to use it to consult for other companies aka compete with the likes of Accenture. Combining back the company brand thrive to their onshore brand enGen makes the offshoring look seamless and feel less like a separate offshore to outsiders. There is nothing in it for American workers and there is not intended to be. We cost more in their eyes. They just don't account for the fact 10% onshore workforce is doing 90% of the workload so they keep laying us off.
