Fate of BI adjusters

Will BI claims eventually be handled In India? They already have Dr's reviewing and summarizing medical records. It seems like it would make sense that they start inputting that info into Colossus too...

Yes that is why there is such a huge push to resolve claims within 30 days, very few claims are being manually evaluated or sent to an EC

I’m in zone 4 auto claims and what a disaster. Employees who don’t return calls, leaders who can’t answer a simple question, and very incompetent, entitled leaders above them. India can’t be much worse than this mess.

India has been licensed for all adjusting for a few years now and they are getting more licensed. As long as the India operations are considered an extension of onshore they can get adjuster licenses just like the rest of us and this has been the case in India since at least 2021.

Dear Mr. Wilson-

Your last profitable quarter was q3 2021. It appears to all of us you have lost your acumen to run an Insurance company. Everyone has lost confidence in your ability to be an effective leader. Plain and simple, your constituents has lost faith in you. These constituents include, shareholders, employees, and Wall Street. Tom, we no longer have any confidence in your abilities. You are not achieving business objectives.
You need to do the right thing and resign as our chief executive officer and chairman of the board.

NORTHBROOK, Ill., January 18, 2023--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Allstate Corporation (NYSE: ALL) today announced preliminary results for the fourth quarter of 2022, with an estimated net loss between $285 million and $335 million and estimated adjusted net loss* between $335 million and $385 million.

They’d have to be licensed first in india to be BI adjusters. Not going to happen.

As someone working within claims I believe the best thing that can happen is that as much of claims gets moved to India or vendors as it can. Claims is such a disaster and such an entitled broken mess that the fresh mindset and more strict processes and accountability found in outsourced or foreign entities can only help what claims is now. Sad to say and it will cost me my job but it would be for the best.

@nrd+1kK0XLFd I agree Billy will call the Insured all the time asking for the same damn thing they asked them for last week.. That's because Billy is so good good he doesn't have to read the claim file at all. Thus pi----g the customer off even more then they cancel their policy.

Billy Patel in Pune will gladly take your job for 5 bucks an hour. That's a very good wage there in India.

It will happen as soon as possible. As more customers get digitized and used to dealing with automation, the person on the other end of a phone line will be of no difference. Adjusters in India can do as good or better of a job than the Americans. It will be a huge savings to pay 25K instead of 75K for a BI adjuster in India to handle these claims. Tom and the crew are licking their chops over this and will be hero’s to the stockholders. Drip drip drip. Little by little. It’s been going on for years in preparation for this time in history. Don’t kid yourself. Follow the money and ask questions. There’s a bread crumb trail and it leads to India.
