It’s now May 1st. The annual April Fools prank from our Tool wasn’t any funnier than in the last 3 years, and we are in our third year without any significant layoffs.

And no, displacing non performing people with a package is a gift, not a hardship.

@htnt, they're just ignorant and suffering from TDS. Ignoring the fact already posted here and ignoring media reports.

I don’t understand people saying that there have been no layoffs. There absolutely have been.

Ok, no significant layoffs in three years of the Todd era. Should layoffs start up again after a 3 year hiatus Is expect it in May.

Wrong, @5qui. Here's the people affected according to the OWPBA Analysis when several of my co-workers were fired just days after the 2020 COVID promise expired.

@fzrs No layoffs for over two years and counting if facts still matter.

There have been terminations with cause however.

Fake news, @emgn. Hundreds if not thousands of people have been downsized under Todd and will continue to be.

Nor will there be any in April this year. No layoffs in 2020, 21 and so far… 22.

Feb, May, August & November were the traditional layoffs as Charlie organized them but we took the COVID money to not displace in 2020 and 2021 and displace we did not.

There have been exactly none so far in April.

Ummm, it STARTED in early 2020 and peaked in 2021 when the axe fell in treasury services. Sheesh!

Totally incorrect. COVID didn’t even start until the third week of February, 2020.

Check it out.

@avtd, seeing your TDS, it's no surprise you're too ignorant to know that the loan forgiveness only required that employee and compensation levels are maintained 8- to 24-weeks. Of course, BK isn't even listed as a participant either.

I got laid off from BNY during COVID/WFH in 2021. My entire group did. 1 year guarantee must have expired.

by

@aaxp+1g1mcuCd

Absolutely false. In fact BNY accepted Trump funds which came with a requirement of no layoffs. There have been no significant layoffs ever since.

You clearly do not work here troll.

@acpb, that's flat out wrong. Significant downsizing occurred in January of 2021 during the peak of the covid pandemic in the US. It included over 100 people in treasury and was well after Charlie was on his way to destroy wfc.

Displacements happen every month and there are many reasons for them. The layoffs are quarterly and haven’t been significant since Charlie left. That’s why this layoff board has talked about everything but layoffs for the last 3 years.

by

Post ID: @acpb+1g1mcuCd

Wrong. They happen every month. Sometimes they are just smaller. There will definitely be layoffs this month.

Layoffs can happen at anytime for individuals whom are simply not cutting it or other reasons. The scheduled mass layoffs are different and have never been in April.

February, May, August & November have always been the months.

With the loss of so many talented people it is doubtful that there will be layoffs this year

Get a f'ing grip. Layoffs are always right after the mid month paycheck. No one said it was a huge layoff, ever. But there will be layoffs. Not a joke.

No layoffs in April this year and likely all year. Makes sense as so many are leaving on their own. Problem is that those leaving are mostly subject matter experts and often the best and brightest. Off shore model may work for Operations but that’s all. Don’t see how we survive the brain drain.

Ok, no layoffs occurred on April 1st.

I recall the exact same April Fools rumor here last year regarding April 1st layoffs and it didn’t occur then either. People can write what they want of course, but why knowingly post bad information here that can only serve to make people nervous and needlessly stressed out?

Not everybody gets the April Fools joke.

We find it's always better to fire people on a Friday. Studies have statistically shown that there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week.
