Todays firside chat is with a guest speaker, Major General. I guess this means we're at war?

@5kja+1kJHuZuw. No way will DOJ allow a merger. They wouldnt let mcgraw hill merger go down with Cengage.
What you need is a pull-no-punches German CEO to scare the workforce. Someone bold enough to actually call the staff re--rded and tell them to ‘get on the train!’
The merger is coming. You heard it here first.
That call had to be a new low for motivational speakers.
Are you a sales rep at Pearson? Because this sounds very much like the nonsensical sensationalism they shout to everyone to get attention. Is what you said below true? Sure. Does it have ANY impact on North America’s failings? Not one bit.
Screaming “facts” is one thing. Knowing how it all connects and being able to understand what facts impact issues at hand is another.
The spice girls academy is a popcorn headline— nothing more. North America failing is because of dysfunctional leadership, a sales team that knows how to do nothing but feature dump and assign blame, products and technology that is beyond old and irrelevant— and marketing strategies that could’ve come from one of our textbooks published 15 years ago.
THOSE are facts. Not enough individuals willing to come to terms with that though which is why North America will eventually be sold for parts.
Someone is delusional and doesn't like facts. The current and previous CEO are from the UK and they have been the ones who've tanked this place. Both had no prior background to run this type of business. Tell me a disney character can run this place, 40% of investors didnt want him with his elaborate salary. Make sure you know the facts since this is public knowledge. Who was the one who advertised a program designed by the UK agent for the spice girls. How did that turn out?
Complaints about a U.K. General (when the CEO of NA and Pearson overall live in the UK) being presented in a fireside to the reputed breadwinners of the organization, is a wonderful microcosm of the delusional state of North America Higher Ed.
Uninformed, uninspiring leadership who can’t get out of their own way and stop fighting amongst one another, while babysitting a narcissistic salesforce who thinks the failures of Pearson are everyone else’s fault but their own…..perhaps Taylor Swifts “anti-hero” would be a better anthem for us all.
No personal attacks intended here naturally. Just the honest truth.
Brilliant idea to have a UK general speak when 60% of revenue is generated in North America. Aaron Neville's "Everybody Plays the Fool" is a relatable song for employees.
Tony arrives at the diner, and selects Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” from the juke-box console at his table. One by one, the other members of his immediate family arrive – except for Meadow – and they start to eat onion rings and indulge in small talk. Just as Meadow reaches the diner’s door and pushes it open, Tony looks up and… blackness. Show over.
I’m thinking “Rock Bottom” by Kiss would have been more appropriate.
that intro song was Don't Stop Believin' by Journey. You know, in case you've never heard that before.
