I’ve only heard rumours at this stage but there does seem to be some growing concern amongst other teams. When do you think they would be notifying those impacted, i.e before/after Christmas?

I'd rather spend my time watching repeats of Eastenders than working at LSEG.
@5jf+1vLTfgd7 LSEG is a black mark on anyone’s resume. Lots of LinkedIn celebration for people when they leave for a new job or publicly say they are taking a leap of faith. It gives people hope that they can piece their careers back together.
Everyone’s focus should always be on getting out for somewhere new, ideally around a package or bonus season.
Stealth PIP layoffs and loyalty pledges -- tells me that if anything, since I got ratfu---d out of my job on a threatened PIP by the _worst_ engineering manager I'd seen in my entire life, that LSEG has gotten exponentially worse since I escaped.
I tell anybody who asks -- including the recruiters who tried to bring me back -- to turn around and run away as fast as they can. This company is on a hiding to nothing.
I feel sad for some really nice, really capable, but naive ex-colleagues of mine who failed to escape and got dragooned into EM roles in Nottingham (anybody competent from outside simply refuses to work for them for the derisory money they're offering). LSEG will chew them up and sp-t them out.
@jpdb+1vLTfgd7 It’s actually been said in internal meetings, if you don’t agree with DB’s plans without any questions, please leave.
Investors or the company’s best interest are not important. Your only job is to feed DB’s C-suite ambitions.
Numerous individuals have been labeled as underperformers and placed on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), often due to perceived “negativity and criticism.” It seems that ignoring issues and maintaining a facade of agreement has become an unspoken value. Team leaders who conform without question should recognize that they are shaping a culture that may ultimately impact them adversely.
Rumoured that 20% to get under-performing in this year’s ratings
Senior leadership all head on holiday too after patting themselves on the back for a job done. Nov is the last of the rounds for the year generally. Agree with the above, keep your CV up to date and don't focus on it. The wind changes momentarily in this corporate world with priorities shifting frequently - reactivity is their motive.
The inevitable next wave will be about meeting 2026 targets. So I don't believe that 2025 exits would be notified this side of Christmas. It'll likely be quiet until at least the end of Q1 is my guess.
Honestly, there's no point even worrying about it. Those of us in high cost locations will have a target on our backs sooner rather than later. It's part of corporate life. Until your number's up, keep chugging along and keep your CV up to date and network active.
