Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

4,000 were let go last year- now we know

A 5% reduction. From 75,000 employees at the end of 2021 to 71,000 as of the end of 2022. See the "10-K" reports. Another 5% this year would be 3,500 more people.

Some worthless employees were hired back. So much for that theory, @6pao+1lcy6iRw

The only hiring practice is favoritism, even if you’re a bumbling id--t.

There are no layoffs. Only bad employees getting fired for incompetence. Be glad they are gone because it makes the workplace better for the good employees. Good riddance to WORTHLESS employees.

How many years do we need to act like covid is the central focus. 1year. 2 years. 3 years. 5 years. 10 years. Get over yourself. I think 2 years with 600 per day case rate is fine. I get the emergency when it was 600k a day. We don’t get all bent of shape over Ebola, black plague, or tb. These diseases destroyed 1 out of 3 people but are part of our history. Again. Get over yourself. By the way. Do you know the difference between a sociopath and psychopath. Mike Sievert might be one of them. Likely the later.

We've destroyed people's lives, relationships, careers and poisoned who knows how many people. And damaged their immune systems, as an added bonus. Yes, time to just move on.
Sociopath, much?

Covid is done. The case rate is down and is no longer a national concern. In fact, many in the public sector are prioritizing the rehire of those who were laid off for not being compliant. Covid is no longer a reason to lose a job. Let’s move on.

Everyone who knows someone with a fake vax card must report them, for their own protection. Report them asap because the layoffs will keep coming.

If it comes to down to you or me being let go, and you have a fake vax card and I am compliant, guess who's getting the blindfold and the cigarette?
If the company knows you have a fake card, but lays me off anyway? That is called a guaranteed to lose lawsuit, and a really well-funded, really early retirement for me.
Peel the duct tape off of a cell tower and put it across your mouth.

All the managers in our department (ETS) have been called into meetings last week and this week and were asked to bring data on what everyone was working on. They have seemed visibly upset about something.

Yes, since we know more people will be let go, make the company aware of who has fake cards. Document it with your manager. The fakers should absolutely be let go before people who are compliant.
That tool from 1996 with his roll of duct tape that we all are laughing at undoubtedly has one. Fire him.

I bet hundreds of employees have fake vaxx cards. I know one person who said that's what he was doing. TMO should fire them and then can avoid paying severance to them, and take back stock grants. That would be great to see.

Some attrition included in the 4,000, but obviously 5% reduction was the target. Don't forget that they totally hosed the unjabbed, which was several hundred people that they didn't pay severance to. That won't be the case this year or next and since inflation is not going down thanks to the id--ts in public office, expect a bloodbath over the next 24 months.

A lot of natural attrition not being replaced goes into these numbers too. Especially retail with less stores today than 12-18 months ago.

Legacy T-Mobile pointing fingers again. No responsibility. Play the blame game. They can't see that this is Legacy T-Mobil failure. Loving the fight here.

It will be funny when some of the TMO employees who post here are let go. They think they walk on water, but have the failed AT&T merger, which led to the metroPCS deal, to thank for their successes. Then, Mike Sievert and John Legere followed that with the tremendous idea of the un-carrier approach and adding free Netflix, etc for customers. That was excellent.
The tools posting here, though, had nothing to do with any of that but carry on as if they are General Eisenhower pulling off D-Day (look it up, Gen Z).
And now the Sprint acquisition has given TMO a 2 year head start on deploying mid-band 5g. And these TMO fools think they have invented the wheel.
Can't wait to see the look on their faces when TMO pulls the rug out from under them with a layoff. Especially as we are entering what is going to be a long, horrific recession, with each carrier dialing their capex spending way back. And Dish will probably be sold off for parts the way there are trending.
When the soon to be laid off TMO people have to take lesser positions, for much less money, we'll see who is standing tall then.
Enjoy the job hunt, tough guys!

I can’t stand Mikey Boy as much as I despise Sprint, But Mikey Boy isn’t involved directly in RNE&O. Layers of Sprint buffoons have been shuffled into the management structure and still have sinking ship mindsets. Even techs that came over just can’t understand we aren’t trouble ticket driven like Ericsson. NOC techs that have Overland Park in their Outlook addresses have no idea what they are doing. Get butthurt all you want, Sprint people, you know your business model sucked and is why you were bought out. Unfortunately the taint has come with you.

Let's not forget Mikey and John Saw both go back to Clearwire, which was bought by Sprint.

It's entertaining to hear blame constantly put on "Sprint Leaders". Mikey-boy is Legacy T-Mobile. He is the leader of the sinking ship. The buck stops there. He makes the final decision on everything. Most of the SLT is Legacy T-Mobile as well.

Just shut down Overland Park already and call it done. The Sprint people are unbearable.

Except, the already failed Sprint leaders are now responsible for T-Mobile's fate. It's actually awkward and unusual how that happened.

The goal was to have a resulting organization no larger than t-mobile was prior to the merger. It was all about the spectrum, nothing more.

It could be higher. TMO has been hiring Indians like crazy, so the total number of layoffs would need to offset the new hires.
