We heard for at least a year til they can lease a place to garage them. Most in my area are garaging at the CO’s now except for one standalone shop the company sold and leased back. I personally think lumen will let that lease run out and att will take that garage for their employees. Dunno how things are set up in other cities though. Or how the inside folks will do it. Does anyone still go into an office or mostly working remote now? We only have a few engineers that show up daily.

You win. Being in those low level mgmt/premmie meetings paid off or something. Prize is a lower paying job and no job security. There’s a reason att “forged” a separate company to do their fiber business in this deal.

Let’s the games and all the confusion that’s gonna go with it begin. Gonna be a crazy month until lumen figures all this out.

@6z7 The sale closed today, February 2. Looks like it wasn't just a random guess. Guess it was someone sharing actual information with other people affected by the sale who weren't getting information, which I believe is the point of this site. https://www.stocktitan.net/sec-filings/LUMN/8-k-lumen-technologies-inc-reports-material-event-4a8c12460606.html

@7nn agree. Unfortunately we are being told the netco techs and mgr will be sharing our yard/parking and same office space. Stock rooms are being separated though. How they can do this is beyond me. But really don’t care. Only need 2 more years.

Is the pi----g match over? Who cares whos right or what the date is. Im staying with lumen and riding it out....Hey, maybe thats the new tag. "Ride it out". (For those who remember). After that i'll leave the lights on and plug the toilet on my way out the door and into retirement. Aside from the sales people and inside folks that had to move who the he-l would want to be in a workforce of prem techs and know nothing do nothing low level managers that are glued to their screens waiting for ai to tell them what to do and what to say? I hope it closes soon. I hope they ship the premmies off our lumen property day one. And lastly, i cant wait for retirement. LOL

It’s a thread about guesses and about people saying they have info that’s not available to anyone else. Trying to put puzzle pieces together to make themselves correct. People changing their report in the directory is no indication of a close date. So, what’s your deal? Why keep coming here and throwing a guess out every couple of weeks? It’s not going to change the fate of who’s coming or going.

@6wx Obviously I didn't say that. What is your deal? This is a thread about when the sale might close, and the fact that corporate directories are updating is a sign the deal is closing soon because there are rules about publicly traded companies and continuing "business as usual." Go verify the people upline from you in the directory.

So you’re saying the deal is officially done. You’re making the announcement? Or are you just trying to redirect?

@5c7 There are approximately 11,000 employees listed under Wes Gibson. Techs didn't change roles. They're hardly the only people in the company, so just because nothing changed for you, doesn't mean it didn't change for others. My team has already shifted, so my coworkers in the directory now reflect the change in roles announced 2 weeks ago.

I’m so irrelevant that I’ve called you out for being full of sh-t and I’ve been 100 percent correct. Let’s reconvene on feb 2nd or 12th and see what your new prediction is Mr insider wanna be. Here, I’ll throw a date out since we’re just guessing. March 27th.

@5hw Obviously, you're not in any of the meetings with management. Understandable. They were pushing for a December 31 close, but couldn't make it. Now they're pushing to try to wins it up by February 2. They had to extend some contracts, they've had to change the way we execute budgets, pay bills, and someone like you isn't relevant enough to be included in any of that.

When it doesnt happen on feb 2nd or 12th.........or 14th or 19th or 22nd.....whats the next date youve heard? Feb 29th? Thats it isnt it. But please tell us about all the inside info you have now that you have zero credibility. Hows that Jan 1st close date going? Or did you mean next january? Just keep pushing out every 2 weeks and eventually youll be correct. Then you can come on here and say you told everyone so.

The dates we're now hearing are February 2 or February 12 if they can't make the second. AT&T teams have been assigned, and the employees have already switched to their new supervisors. Absolutely no word for those who didn't receive offers, but smart money is on mass layoffs.

Black Rock might be the largest investment company in the world. They have invested in just about every major company youve ever heard of. No surprise they want a piece of one of the largest fiber networks in the world also. Theyre making money on the front, the transport and the end user.

Look up forged fiber 37 llc. That's what the sale is running under until its officially closed. Then it will officially be called Networkco. They just got a 20 year lease in Washington St for telecommunications. I think that was the last PUC to go through so its coming. There is a new fiber company in the north west metro of Minneapolis called gateway fiber. Talked to 1 of there door to door sales guys, and he told me the major invester for them is BLACK ROCK. That's funny because a major investor in the netco group taking over quantum fiber with at&t is also BLACK ROCK.

Nice try at what? Were all still waiting for the deal to be announced as closed and done. Did it happen? Did i miss it? Today was the day. Thank you for proving anyone can come on here and say "A guy told me...a union member told me....my brother in law heard from his friend...All BS

@39r Nice try. That date was from a director that is moving. Also a union member.
So two employees who are moving.

January 1st was never doable. Just random know nothings throwing their opinions out into the world. No one outside of the suits will know until its done and announced.

Or april or may or june or july. NO ONE knows. Its all guesses until you come in and theres a new sticker on your truck. What we do know is the original poster is full of sh...it.
Everyone on here can keep throwing a random date out and eventually be correct.

The sale is in the final stages. Im all signed up and have my 401k and insurance picked out with forged fiber/netco. My new badge and computer are on the way and I have a UPS tracking number for it. The new insurance is supposed to kick Feb 1.
Heard the sale was finalizing soon just working some stuff out in the back end. I would day by Feb ot march first we're done.

It looks like Jan 1 won't be doable. Now looking like sometime in January or later.
This from employees who are involved in the move.

The change was they now knew who was going to networkco and had to sign up for next years insurance during open enrollment. No big conspiracy here. The wrinkle may be they’re technically networkco employees already without the deal officially closed. Honestly don’t know how that works or if it’s even the case. Just guessing like everyone and everything else concerning this cluster fk of an agreement.

So where does it imply the deal is off? Your weak mind is creating a false narrative you’re using to deflect from the fact you declared the deal will close January 1st and got called out on it. Your proof is a local union is sending an email out but you can’t post the local. How about copy and paste the email you got? But of course you can’t do that either correct?

So the last CTO was not good enough for Lumen, or did he jump off the sinking boat? I suspect he saw the light, and the sinking boat.

@j9 You’re implying that the deal is off! So you GTFO 😡

“”Sounds more like you’re making sh-t up or you’re not a union member at all and doesn’t even know what the local chapter is. “Listen to the town hall” sounds like a non union desk jockey staring at his screen all day. Who the f cares when all you can do is say “rumors” “story” “estimated” “tentative”.””

@ja You don't get it. They already did open enrollment for Lumen. They were initially told they would enroll in ATT/Network co when that deal closed sometime next year. And just go ahead and sign up for Lumen insurance.
That was changed to actually enrolling in ATT/Network co insurance now.
Something changed.

How odd that they would have to do that during open enrollment like the rest of the country no matter who they work for. Must be something covert.

Where does it say that? Copy and paste where anyone says the deal is off. Quit trying to deflect. That’s the strategy of a weak mind. I’m questioning the validity of saying it will close January 1st with the proof being “story is a local is sending out an email”. But afraid to give out the local because they don’t want to get them in trouble? You don’t think if a local sends out some bs email every other member across the country isnt going to know about it? Gtfo here.

@ez Let's see mr im gonna be a je-k.
Employees who are leaving already have their new computers/devices and will try to log in in December.
New organizational charts have been released.
They have finished testing systems.
Some big celebration party planned for December.
That doesn't sound like the deal is closing in the first half of next year.
