Yes I got here by working the right people and sucking up. I get paid a lot of $$ to do pretty much nothing. I play favorites when it’s time to layoff a certain percent of the team, ability only counts for so much. I hate my VP but I grin and bear his/her stupidity. I stay relevant by reacting to a couple of crisis in a year by getting contractors to do work and throwing together pretty PowerPoints. I have no power to actually change anything. I could go on and on

Are you really an AVP because so far you haven't said anything of substance, nothing with meat on it! Anyone can come onto this site and speculate which is what most of this is! Give us something we can sink our teeth into that is somewhat credible, that's all I ask!

To Op, why is T share price in the dumpster? Why is there no strategy to improve T's horrible customer service? Why hasn't Stankey started to process of spinning fiber off? Why hasn't Stankey implemented his infamous headcount rationalization? Inquiring minds want to know.

Why would T spin off fiber and if it actually does make that move, what does it mean for the big picture? What kind of impact would it have on T if any? I can't see this being a significant move! I've been with T for over 3 decades and can't see where this is considered to be a major decision.

still too many 4th levels and above. I could see consolidation in mobility, some parts of network ops and sales leadership (way too much overhead, not enough workerbees), but spinning off fiber doesn't make sense for a few reasons. May as well look to spin off mobility first, then real estate assets into a separate tracking stock, then fiber last.

Massive Layoff and outsourcing planning is in the progress, timing is early third quarter. Prepare for large scale outsourcing and spin offs in addition to deep cuts. The company is going to look fundamentally different when this round is over. Fiber will be spun off
The Stank is control and is hand selecting all EVP, SVP and VP positions. Only those complimentary to his vision are promoted. All voices of reason have been marginalized. Sell your stock.
No decisions at T are made by committee, Stankey calls the shots. Anyone who thinks differently is sadly mistaken. Anyone trying to do an end around Stankey will be fired immediately.
OP here VPs and SVPs are glorified water boys and girls. They cannot influence anything and they have a constant fear of being cut even more than the L1/2/3/4 levels. So next time you meet a VP or SVP just remember that behind the facade they are d-mber than you and definitely more afraid of losing their jobs than you. They spend a lot of time just sucking up. Notice they never make decisions and only communicate decisions that have already been made by Finance
