Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

US inflation has hit 8.5% when will hear on pay

This is ridiculous, inflation has nearly hit 9% and still to climb.

When will Mike Self I'm no 1 make a announcement on pay raises.

How much are we getting?

He doesn't have to worry about bills, groceries, and other living costs, but still takes 50% raises for himself.

All well and good talking about Ukraine and other ESG but if your not paying your staff fairly it's all talk and no substance.

We want action and quick, not just waffle talk, people are suffering.

I'm ex AT&T and unfortunately got re transferred back to DXC.

We use to get big bonuses and raises every year's so our pay is quite inflated compared to DXC staff.

I wonder if that's going to be taken into account, But with inflation so high I'm hoping we will get the same as the underpaid DXC people.

Wtf there's companies giving a 2nd pay rise for this year, this is unprecedented inflation and its not a normal year.

If the rises aren't realistic there will be mass exodus.

You are NOT GOING TO SEE A COST of Living INCREASE! Let alone a merit one!

Get that out of your heads right now. You want more money , then find another company willing to pay you. How ducking stupid can you be, you know the history with pay increases here!

Jay Powell of the fed has got a grilling as inflation is out of control and the American people are hurting.

Why doesn't Michael Selfino accept he needs to get brave and make the pay announcement, its well overdue.

To whoever said "The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing." thats FALSE. The hands are JERKING YOU OFF, we will get no pay increases across the board.

In the US there are only 3 categories, the 1st you need to be a GOD to be rated that way.

The bottom one, if your rated that you should be FIRED on the spot.

That leaves the middle for everyone else.

They can send reminders about objectives deadlines but no updates progress on pay, and we're just 8 days from July.

Even the middle/higher leaders are embarrassed when they come on Town Halls and can talk about everything else but they have no information on raises.

Such poor communication, and poor directionless management left in the dark.

The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

And this is supposed to be a well run company.

Inflation gone up again as announced yesterday and you come on a call and they say everyone will get reviewed but not necessarily get a raise.

What sort of sick joke is that?

Mike and the gang taking 50%+ raises to $20million plus and your not sure if or what people who are struggling to survive will get.

Must be so embarrassing to be a leader in DXC and show you don't care at all when you have to say that to people with families.

If any off the management had some decency they would refuse their inflated amounts or say that staff need to be treated fairly as they are struggling.

Some employees are due good rises.

Michael J Salvino 50%
Mary Finch 55%
Vino Bagal 58%

With inflation being high these are the deserving few.

The rest need to be happy with 3%

Inflation is about to hit 10%+ in the next few months, you won't be able to afford anything.

Think about it how are you going to survive if your getting 12% less, if Micheal thinks he can keep running the company the same way his not in the cloud but in cloud cuckoo land.

Staple food and energy has gone out of control.

Let's see how close to inflation these raises are.

Platform X No-One can define what it really is

So true - but thats what happens when something only exists in powerpoint slides

Other than a few old automation scripts from a few years ago, some clunky ServiceNow integrations plus a obsolete centralised delivery model

Where is the collateral and client case studies and reference accounts for all the great things Platform - X can and has done? or is it a military secret and can only be shared on a need-to-know basis?

Even the Fed have accepted that inflation is out of control and put up interest rates.

When will Mike wake up and realise people need to be paid fairly.

They cannot longer afford to survive month to month has become a struggle.

Does he have any morals or standards he works to, if so he cant keep holding people off till August when if then maybe they may get a raise, but not necessarily.

Total shambles, get it sorted make the pay announcement we're in May.

You people are all nuts, DXC will not ever give a cost of living increase in the US or UK. We will be luckily if we get a merit increase and it will be lower than 5%. Why should they , we all are not leaving but complaining on a site with no names. You want more money and higher pay, you have to leave to get that. It's the way it always has been, DXC is no exception!

I too haven't received an increase in years , I stay because I don't want to have to be on call, work more than 40 hours , no weekends , work from home and get almost unlimited vacation time

@5hix+1gdNqmxs - seems like another of Mike's tea boys; you can guarantee that most CEO's will be remunerated quite handsomely during this period. Never see a poor CEO in my life.

Mike's got to talk to the customers and tell them rates are going up as pay etc needs to rise.

Every sector is putting up prices as they can no longer absorb cost so all the customers are aware of the situation.

Get on the phone o the customers and it sort the new rates Mike, there's one thing of screwing staff when inflation was low but this has now gotten out of control and its not sustainable.

Is Mike getting a cost of living increase , don't think so. So why should you? You want that kind of money see if you can get it by changing. jobs, if you can't shut the F up already. Be happy if you get 5% or higher increase

The fact that Mikey is always silent on pay raises, and hates people asking about pay on Town Halls sums up how he feels about his main asset staff.

He has to realise its a big concern for staff.

If he was a true leader he would be open and upfront informing staff on the increases to put their minds at ease.

Silence just means a poor leadership style, its in his hands to increase employee engagement.

No way will there be any meaningful pay rises with this shower of company, only option is to seek new roles outside DXC, leave, move on and receive better job and employer who will pay you more and invest in you.

No long term future here at DXC, only decent pay rise goes to Steak cutter and Mr Shouty.

Last year pay raises were given mid August. America’s Town Hall said pay raises would be given Q2, which would probably be August again.

If you think you're getting a raise in line with inflation, think again. You're getting nothing - this is DXC. There will be no raises, just sackings.

Want more money, leave.

It's a global issue, not just US.

The End Of Year Reviews are due to be started (or at least the Manager and Employee conversation) next week. In a properly managed company this would also be when payrises, bonuses, stock options would be discussed.

I'm a low level manager at DXC, I've no idea if there will be payrises given this year and if there are when they will be announced. The End Of Year Review should be when it's discussed with staff but I very much doubt it will be.

What is Steak Cutter 2 doing to earn those millions?

Consumer prices in March were 8.5pc higher than a year earlier, up from a reading of 7.9pc in February. American inflation has not been this high since the end of 1981, according to the Bureau of Labour Statistics.

Food prices rose almost 9pc on the year, while energy prices soared by close to one-third.

What is he giving for Energy with virtual first we're paying 1/3 more and food?
