Been hearing that for more than 20 years.
Eventually that will be true. When? Hard to say.

western digital will replace Seagate with MAMR

It seems like in Seagate Springtown they still see HDD as the future. Build those heads folks, the future is HDD.

Isn't HAMR essentially the future of HDD, not a side project?

But you're still left with a technology near end-of-life that is being slowly replaced by SSD. Got HAMR? Does it matter?

You forgot the real savings. Eliminate 90% of management and the ridiculously unfair bonus practice whereby 75% of the bonus pool goes to the top 5%.

cut all the marketing, HR, Finance, IT.
eliminate the dividend
keep the cash
