Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

1/31 401k contribution

Anyone else have their 1/31 401k contribution taken out of their paycheck but never submitted to Fidelity? Is this a sign?

“Definitely not Zen“ has said it best imo and gave us some good intel. Wondering whatever happened to Zen? Sometimes no news is good news right? And maybe “they” don’t want to post anything that’s a “could be” right? I respect that. When we hear the rumblings we should say something and keep the posts coming even if it’s not dealing with WFR’s. Right now we need to come together and have each other’s backs, something this company lacks.

Zen imposter - why pretend to be someone you are not?

Are you afraid people won’t believe you?

Hi Everybody.

my usual two cents:

one thing worth mentioning, is that something that is different this time around, is that information has been compartmentalized to great extent. most managers are being kept in the dark until the last possible minute. I agree that intentionally posting false information doesn't help, as well as pretending to be someone you are not. But, its also possible that the few nuggets of information available might have been fed to us intentionally wrong. this cloak and dagger business surrounding the WFRs has been noticeable.

from my neck of the woods I can say, that there was a WFR scheduled for January for my team (about 28 people) and that it was planned since November. for some reason it did not happen. We where never told why. I'm not counting this as good news as it might have been merely postponed.

I did heard there was one planned for February and one for March. The extent is unknown. As an example of what I mentioned earlier I can say this : in another thread it was mentioned that Product/Engineering was going to be severely impacted. I did talked to several managers in that group, and they had no idea of the true extent, they were being kept in the dark.

All I can say for sure is that things are not looking good; they have not for quite a while. All of us need to make sound financial decisions considering any of us can be WFR'd... nobody is safe.

if you are unhappy and have the opportunity to look for another job, you should do that, start looking, maybe your dream job is out there, but you need to actively pursue it. Gainwell is not the only company doing WFRs, several big companies have already announced their plans to do so as well. All that people out there that will be WFR'd from their companies, will be competing for the same jobs, you need to keep that in mind.

Don't belong, never join, think for yourself, peace.

My 401K match is in the account, the nervous nellies out there starting problems for nothing. Questioning the health of the company is a little bit of a stretch, isn't it?

Zen impersonator please don’t post any longer.

I want to be able to use the information that I get off of this site. And Zen is able to provide accurate and useful information.

Id--ts tend to try and ride the coat tails of those that are successful.

The impersonator is definitely on Zen’s coat tails.

Ah the Zen impersonator.

Funny how they lack the confidence and probably the information to speak for themselves.

My advice - stop ruining it for the rest of us. I personally want useful information from this site that Zen can provide. Use your head. If you and everyone just post useless information and you pretend to be someone that you are not then all posts on here are unreliable and rendered useless.

Stop pretending.

Looks like the Zen imposter is back.

Not a Zen bit of information.

Too bad people like this are making information unreliable on this site.

on the fidelity website:

  • select your retirement account
  • select "transaction history"
  • select time period "last 30 days" and click "get history"
  • expand the "show details" under employee contributions

mine arrived yesterday.

Forgive the ignorance, but how do you check on Fidelity to see what was deposited?

Every company has a legal duty to handle their employees' 401(k) contributions properly. They can remove their match--that is legal (albeit petty). But stealing employee contributions is a Federal crime. If the FBI finds this out, the responsible people can go to prison.

I’ll see your 1,000 Indians and raise you another 1,000.

They are standing up 2 additional sites in India in addition to the two they already have.

Yay more layoffs in the US.

Everyone’s is missing.

They rip off every state they work with by not delivering what they promise. So why not rip off every employee?

Every account they have is in trouble. Not delivering on anything. Missed SLAs. On corrective action plans. Hahaha. And people actually think they are a good company. If they don’t get bought soon there will be no more Gainwell.
