SF is removing EV charging stations from its parking decks at Corporate and Corporate South, and at Hubs, due to fire hazards that “cannot be mitigated”. Isn’t charging these EVs fundamental? If it’s such a fire risk to charge them, then nobody should have them charging in their garages at home at any time. But they should be charged at home anyway. Maybe like most things SF does, there the “reason” and then there’s the reason. Probably the power bill is getting too big from employees charging them at work instead of home where they should because most people aren’t commuting far enough to need a charge at the office to get back home. They never gave us any free gas to drive to work, so…
