Weird how its January and still no cuts. Fact of the matter is none of you know anything. The reason why you're on this site is probably because you know how redundant your roles are. You're insecure knowing your current redundant role might end and so will the gravy. So itis hard for you to accept that your current role can't be found anywhere else. Thus the anxiety.

Funny how people hiding behind anonymity bark the loudest. Jamie Villarreal earned her success through hard work and leadership. If your career isn’t where you want it to be, maybe focus less on tearing others down and more on building yourself up. Worked for her and with her on multiple roles.

The CA BU runs pretty trimmed as is. In addition, they have a low cost of supply. They operate 100% interest in the Surmont oil sands asset and 100% interest in unconventional liquids-rich Montney.

Some of the Canadians seem to have an awful lot of spare time on their hands, eh.

As an MRO employee you should know you'll be told whether or not you're cut soon and you'll be counted towards MRO's layoffs.

COP will have their own layoffs. They won't include MRO employees because very few of you MRO employees will be offered full time employment with COP anyway.

By all means please cut MRO employees!
I’m one and I want cut loose. Pick me.
I have no desire to transition, so let me go.
Why pay for a long drawn out transition?
This is not your first rodeo and who cares if your updating systems, do it simultaneously.

We already run very lean. I can’t imagine the company cutting into bone.

Anyone publicly classifying themselves as a Swifty should be met with extreme skepticism…give them a transition role at best

Replying to @5cmg+1vpOnCCM: bruh….the DEI team has 3 people. Stop acting like getting rid of that team will solve this company’s problems.

Speaking of DEI, I know how we can save some money in 2025. . . . .maybe get rid of zero-value operational teams that just divide the populace and surface difference, in direct contradiction to what the stated goals of that movement are.

With the acquisition of MRO, there will have to be headcount reductions to right size the company. I hope there are a lot of MRO people let go. Many there including J Villareal are milking the DEI movement and using their physical attributes to get ahead while being the worst people to work for.

We need a 40% reduction to become competitive. As usual, we will fall far short of executing what is needed. 10% is likely and mostly symbolic. It is an opportunity to cut a few low performers and clear the ranks of the non-conformists.

Org structure will change to asset centric model… so any central groups will be “consolidated”.. Houston may be hit hard.
