@ Bye Felicia
Not all markets are offered metro Ethernet on or offnet.
The other thing that happens is the lead time for fiber construction or
Install cost.
Please do.
If this was a competent company and bonded t1 was the only way to sale you service, then they shouldn't have sold you service. Because as you have ranted already that service is going to be terrible, the spares will be non existent because they are not made any longer, and they probably low balled you to make a sale.
So good luck sorry the bottom of the barrel wasn't good enough for you Karen. Good luck getting enterprise services for anywhere near the price... and next time, perhaps research the service or product needed instead of just looking at the price, you clown. After all... You get what you pay for...
I ordered 10M from Windstream and they decided to bond T1s because “thats the only way the can deliver internet in my area”. Figures Windstream employees would blame the customer. Thank you for confirming my suspensions. I will screen shot the comments on this page to get out of my contract early. I highly doubt other customers to do the same
Kinetic is the name of the lame TV service they offer. Video over DSL in most markets. Windstream was getting into the game about the time AT&T was pulling out it.
Rebranding? Put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig.
New Board of Directors and the firing of TT and most of the executives is the first step forward.
re branding is the beginning of the split of the company. I would expect them to announce
spin offs for WE, Kinetic, and other businesses. The ILEC/CLEC doesn't make sense anymore.
I would expect this sometime in June.
I noticed locally here in OH - they rebranded the trucks. No more big green W - now they want you to think it's a different company - Kinetic. Maybe that is the big plan to get out of bankruptcy. Highly doubt it is - or will - work. R.I.P. Windstreamers.....
If your company is served by a t1 in this day and age your company is to blame. Blaming Windstream is like blaming the dealer for a junkies overdose if you failed to modernize your i.t. infrastructure...
I too was a customer. WAS!
Constantly down! The fix was always another router modem. After 4, I was done.
Switched to Spectrum. Very reliable. Less expensive for over twice the speed.
When was the last time you heard a windscream commercial? There’s a reason for that. You don’t promote a company that is going out of business.
I'm curious - where are you?
I'm a customer in NC; it's not that bad here but still less than it should be.
The place I work has Windstream and we have not been able to work from home due to constant internet outages at work. Windstream made it clear they are a subpar provider. For two weeks it was “no trouble found” now its “pending eta while we procure network spares” for 2 weeks!! This happens once a year at least. In 3yrs with windstream our service has been down for a total of 4 months!!! About 90% uptime over our contract, that is among the worst in ISP history!!!! Over 1 month a year we are down hard and every outage lasts at least 2 weeks.
And yet it is ok for you to post to this site during business hours. Isn’t that stealing too?
If your post name is truly correct, you should have been gone long ago.
and I forgot to add, the 'peeps' director and mgr were also aware of the activity!
What this net tech is doing is no different than what the pc depot 'peep' out of twinsburg did for over 10 yrs, these people know that WIN will not take action against them so why not :)
What else do you expect from tier 2 or 3 ISP
We have a net tech in my area who removes coax off network T3s end of shift for easy OT. Our director is aware, its compensation due to a low salary. Wish I was kidding
I don't see any user comments onDSL Reports' Windstream forum:
