Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Another DDI failure

How much stuff can this company mess up and still remain in business?

They can reorganize as many times as they want. Isn’t it obvious that’s not the problem?

I agree this company is extremely unethical.

Look at it this way. Do you trust Gainwell? Do you trust the leaders?

Personally I don’t trust anyone at Gainwell. It’s a vat of slimy, bad leadership that has nothing but themselves in mind.

All of the failures. All of the layoffs. All of the poor decisions. The only reason people stay is for the paycheck.

They have stolen our PTO. They give sh---y raises every year. They layoff at will with no answer or explanation. They don’t care about the employee. They basically steal money from the states without delivering anything of value. He-l they sign contracts without the expertise or experience to deliver. It’s greed.

So when someone says they are unethical I would have to agree.

When Gainwell takes on these DDI projects they never plan to deliver. It is a ploy to get as much money as they can from the states before they fail. It’s a crazy cycle if you sit back and watch it happen. Deal after deal signed and failed.

They never intend to come through with the deliverables agreed on. That’s as unethical as you can get.

Which DDI now?

I agree that Gainwell does not care about its individual employees - even where the bottom line impact may only be minimally negative. But you mention ethics. Is your ethics comment about employee treatment or are you claiming the company is somehow otherwise unethical? If so, how?

There are far more failures than successes.

Defending Gainwell just because they are your employer is a dangerous thing. It doesn’t make them a good employer just because someone wants them to be.

Anyone that chooses to stay employed by them has to accept that they work for an unethical company that doesn’t care about them as an employee.

@4jot+1nMuyczq

Agreed. There are valid reasons to criticize Gainwell.
But there have also been a lot of successful implementations at State accounts.

Name the state. Define fail. Plenty have been through the ddi and are up and running. I am supporting such a state now.
I am asking because we are not hearing about these failures. It became clear that there are serious problems when they ousted Paul. But the new guy, who loves to be transparent, has not given any meaningful info.

Paul can’t even spell his own name correctly.

Interesting take Paul. But you would be incorrect about this. Maybe that’s why you didn’t make it at CEO. You didn’t understand the business.

As a previous poster stated a DDI is really to take the proposal or contract and design a response from Gainwell. Then develop and implement that design. Well these things have all failed in the design phase. Gainwell can’t get through phase one much less develop and implement anything. This really isn’t profitable to Gainwell at all. It is a money pit with no return.

Gainwell only considers a DDI to be a failure if a State fires them, which is a very rare occurrence.

What we would consider failures are goldmines to Gainwell. They can charge the States to fix all the problems they created. Pretty good racket.

Every state that has them, that I know of, has failed.

ALL STATES.

FAIL. FAIL. FAIL.

That’s the Gainwell mantra.

Which State?

Doesn’t matter what DDI. Every one of them has flopped.

This company was built on failure.

It sure seems that if Gainwell would just focus on their core business they would be successful. All of these failed initiatives that they have tried have sunk hundreds of millions of dollars. They are trying awfully hard to throw their money away. When will the next round of layoffs happen?

Design, Develop, Implement.

It’s a whole department within Gainwell set up to create just how each new account will go. The idea is it will understand the need for each account and design a plan. It will also standardize the approach taken with each account.

Sadly all have failed to date. Another display of poor leadership.
