Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Monica “let them eat cake”

She really should not speak in town halls. She is so completely tone deaf and can’t answer a basic question.

When asked about wfh- no good answers just “ we are figuring it out as we go”. Basically- we should be good little children and just shut up about it.

And if we are a “ local company with a national presence”- why did we trash our towns that housed our FSUs? That’s not so neighborly.

Leadership is so out of touch with this company it’s not funny. They play by their own rules and to heck with us and members.

@5a2 I am sorry for your hateful outlook. Guess when you and I lose our jobs, we will be on this site spewing more cr-p like anyone actually cares.
Stay positive.

@57t did Maurice provide you with blue P-m P-m’s for this post? Or did you get a bow tie from Shannon?

@57q Didn’t say Yes to everything nor say blindly.
Who cares what the CEO makes, if you are hurting, get another job. I don’t focus on what I cannot control. The CEO is accountable for 36k employees, who are you accountable for other than yourself?
I think the CEO should be earning 100M. When I joined HCSC, we were the 4th largest, now we are 3rd largest. Its a great company.

@576 there’s nothing wrong with blindly saying yes???? there IS something wrong with that. Especially when it’s coming from a CEO that is completely out of touch with the very people that earn him the title of the highest paid CEO in our industry. It comes from someone who knows little of the day to day happenings… the front line politics and the decisions made at levels within the corporation that ripple down and impact our members. To say there is nothing wrong with saying yes to everything, is a categorically ignorant thing to say

@56w Nothing wrong with saying Yes. I assume its the same reason we all said Yes to keeping our jobs and complaining here?

@OP it was embarrassing to listen to the fawning over the CEO (he really cares so much about the organization).

@bx laid off would be an improvement! My thought is that will probably come next. Can't make any sense out of their decisions.

@bx at least we’d get paid while looking for a new job. I’d rather have been laid off personally

How about we adapt and stop complaining. Could be worse, we could be laid off.

@a6 I’m in office too and collaborate with people in other locations and their homes via teams. The whole situation is so stupid and was handled so poorly. Leadership is truly incompetent

This entire company is a mess..my entire team got sent home but me and one other person. Guess my role wasn’t considered back office or w/e metric they used to send people home. Not sure who I’m collaborating with now since my entire team including my manager were sent home.
