Thread regarding Lumen Technologies layoffs

Numbers

Does anyone look at the numbers? Mass market (green) is bleeding the rest of us. Sell them off. Enterprise (red) is making mad money. Keep Level3 and send Century link packing.

@9hkk+1sGHSVI9,
perhaps indicative of "a" problem - but of "the" "major" problem?! Oh h*** no.

Your mentality is indicative of the major problem with Lumen. It's not us vs them.

Last time I heard from SLT...we are all one, colorless company.
What's this nonsense talk of red, green, orange, yellow belly...oops, yellow etc...
Cheers to Riding the gravy train to the last dollar :0

How can anyone blame Level 3. Um, the last i checked, Centurylink merged with Level 3 and failed. Both are worthless. The Red network was making money just fine before Centurylink came along. Level 3 should've never sold out to Centurylink.

So basically you know nothing about the mergers. Level3 was heading into bankruptcy carrying huge debt, and it brought all that debt to Centurylink. The mistake was Centurylink doing the merger. If Centurylink was so bad then why did Level3 agree to the merger? Centurylink had a good portfolio and telecom and non-telecom products and services. These days nobody even knows what Lumen is trying to do or become. Maybe soon Microsoft will own Lumen for just the fiber miles.

As my father used to say; "people know stuff that just ain't so". CTL is not the largest fiber company in the US, much less the world. As far local network...and the reason they kept The US West and Embarq local networks, the local loop to the enterprise customer is often on the legacy local network. Sell this business off and have to pay green dollars for the loop and the company goes out of business. ATT, Verizon and Comcast are also buying the local loop from the telcos.

Yes, because no 3rd party is leasing ctl fiber to put their equipment on. So, you’re saying ctl, rather than using their own fiber network, the largest in the world btw, is using someone else’s to move traffic. Ok, yep, sure. Let’s rip it all out. Just don’t be alarmed when your cell phone stops working .

CTL "enterprise network," That's a laugh. It carried a trickle a traffic premerger and large chunks built on 3rd party wholesale (including a lot of LVLT).

Lol. Jeff Storey brought 9 BILLION dollars of debt into the "merger". Im sure its real easy to be a "star" when you have an open checkbook, eh?

Hmmmm, I wonder what network lumens enterprise services use. Could it be centurylinks fiber network? Sell it all. Especially the c.o’s. Don’t want those dirty old buildings. All those wires in the air and in the ground too. Enterprise works in the clouds. Crazy that the enterprise business could still make all that money with no wires and no inter webs.

Yes, Jeff storey and the level 3 executive team were stars. Just check the numbers and you can see the success they brought to the table.

Centurystink was junk! Junk Management, Junk product! Sell it all off to some small telco still maintaining 66 blocks! Problem solved!
