How many have been cut from Marketing? I am so sorry for anyone being cut. Prayers to everyone losing their jobs.

You could have just said the “deadwood” we’re not selected and saved a couple of needless sentences. Tenure does not necessarily equate to talent.

Definitely an older, more experienced and higher income bracket group we’re the ones “not selected.” A few managers were demoted to a basic “specialist” role. the few Sr. P8+ specialist/analyst jobs were handed to nepo-babies or favorites.

managers were supposed to choose future state employees based on skills for their teams, but I hear that wasn’t the case. The well known nepo babies, or buddies of top leadership were handpicked and even promoted.

There are numerous vacant positions that they were not filled. The learning curve for incoming new employees will most likely impact any progress planned for this joke of a department.

Looks to me Marketing management is going rouge, maybe that’s why HR is absent. Interesting if true

How soon can I hire a new employee to replace one I laid off?

The U.S. Department of Labor does not identify a time frame for when you can rehire for a laid-off position. However, you should still be careful if you decide to hire someone new for a position that a former employee recently held.

@4ykj at least they got an initial and follow up communication with specific information. Marketing folks have basically been fired with no information. It's been 4 weeks now with absolutely no information, it is pretty hilarious watching leadership riding the big giant elephant in the room as if nothing happened and everything is wonderful 😉

ET/HCL transition was NOT orderly. Some employees received multiple job offers of differing amounts. Some that did not accept the offer got a “welcome” email from HCL. I could go on but you get the picture.

I heard around 70 unlucky (mostly older) souls are fending for themselves and scrambling now. I also heard they still have received NO information about severance or last day, going on several weeks now. Not sure why mkt leadership can't get their sh$t together with Legal and HR. As hard as the ET/HCL was at least it was orderly and clear. I feel so bad for the people who were let go, oh wait "not selected".

Everyone is tight lipped. Did leadership threaten to ki-l a puppy if word got out?
