Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

If you holding out for pay rises from DXC UK think again l.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves tells the BBC it's likely her tax-raising Budget may affect pay for workers, as businesses will have to absorb the costs of paying more National Insurance or give out smaller pay rises.

A load of work is currently getting done in that futile, only 10% will get a pay rise - I'll try and make one of them be me game. Come mid December when we hear sorry nothing this year. Nothing will get done again before April when it all starts again.

They don't necessarily want you to leave but equally it doesn't matter if you do.

If you stay then you are cheap labour.

If you leave then they just hire another war body in and you also reduce the potential wfr payout bill by quitting.

It's a gamble and all the time they have even just a handful of oppressed wage slaves they are running with reduced costs.

Win win for dxc I expect they think.

@4wum+1vgRcbhA - This is what Mikey No 1, 2 and now Raul want - to drive people into the ground, get experience workers to leave (without paying any redundancy), hire new greenies or send more work ( as far as they can) to cheaper cost centres in the Far East and for UK to be a skeleton site

It's now become a war. The management are piling on the work with no offer of any pay rise. The workers aren't doing any of it. How you gonna get all your oh so important projects finished now!? Do you actually care. Were they even that important in the first place!?

If you are hold
out for a merit pay increase then your nuttier than a fruit cake. DXC since it was formed has NEVER given merit pay increases to the majority that met it exceeded their goals

I received 1 from DXC and that was less than 4% and one from CSC and that was under 1%

Why did I stay, liked what I was going , worked from home for the full 14 years , the took vacations when I wanted too. Had spring and summer off with full pay in the beginning as they didn’t have time to train me on the new backup software, but new I will be an asset once they did (that’s when I hit the 1% increase)

All I hear is we're all very busy. Busy moaning about DXC. Busy fighting the processes. Busy attending meetings to discuss when we might have a meeting. Project Management is lets make up a date and say that's when we'll deliver. DXC Staff have no incentive to get anything moving other than personal pride. I am surrounded by colleagues who can't be bothered, don't want to know, and do the bare minimum. Deny all knowledge of ever being told, and so desperate to log off you can only find them 3hrs a day.

I'm not faking being sick, and depressed - I really am!

I quiet quit years ago.. do bare minimum.. got a mouse jiggler..not usb one..external power that you put mouse on..

Repainted whole house.. garden immaculate.. and my remote line manager thinks I work hard.. cannoy make it up.

so cr-p payrises I can live with as in a way semi retired on full pay..

next plan is long term sick .. depression.. say 3 months.
return and doss 6 months... then think about retiring and calling it a day.

dxc..you reap what you sow..

@1gkx+1vgRcbhA It really doesn't matter what you do, or don't do for that matter. Your pay review will pretty much be the same. Expect 0%, but even if it's not, you'll hear your incompetent colleagues got the same as you. In fact it might be worse, you might all just get £500, and so their percentage gain is higher! Meanwhile the company can convince you to do your review because you can be pretty such you'll be excluded if you didn't tick all the necessary boxes.

While I'm at my CV I might as well send it out to a few places!!!

Performance reviews are not tied to salary increases at DXC. Senior management have said this many times.

@1qod+1vgRcbhA Any excuse. You didn't do your AI training. Your CV hasn't been reuploaded in the last 6 months. You didn't do your eTes one week. The company does not want you to get a rise. They company will find any excuse to ensure the vast majority don't - and then say it's your own fault. But more likely hardly anyone will get one and all these things were a waste of your time. You failed before you started by being a DXC employee.

There are already threats that if you do not complete your mid-term assessment by the middle of November you will not be considered in any merit increase.
Remember that huge merit increases have already been given to the executives along with large bonuses.
We on the ground may not get anything as all spare cash has already been spent.

Probably is true. The 1% they were going to gift you will be eclipsed by the nic increase.

All you can do is complain here - possible futile but entertaining all the same. Or withdraw your talents: Especially productive when they need them most like they have an urgent request to fill. Your the only person available, or you know the answer but it's not really your job so you can leave it with someone else and they can show that even the experts take 2 days if not weeks so the hour they gave you and complained it was too slow was clearly unreasonable.

I have no doubt that this will be used by DXC to justify not being able to pay any planned salary increases.
Although remarkably senior executive bonuses will be unaffected
