Retail is nothing but a legal ponzi scheme. Paying for commissions to everyone from these so called community advocates all the up to directors and then paying techs for "referrals" to keep them happy and make the managers and directors look good. When is PS going to look at the All of the real costs in that dept?

If you only knew how some of those little retail “managers” keep the techs and others happy, lots of “connections” going on. All they do is ride the road in company vehicles stay in Hilton and eat and drink on the company dime. They’re allowed alcohol too, so we have retail partying it up on everyone’s backs.

Unless you are a manager or above, how do you get away with doing nothing for a year? You obviously aren't a tech because you couldn't simply not do the workload you're given every day and no one notices.

Not sure why they haven't laid me off yet, I've been doing nothing for almost a year.

But as they say, I'm not unemployed, but a paycheck is a paycheck.

Connection nothing centers probably won't go this fast but they need to be on the chopping block for Q4 cuts. They have 2 Directors, and a bunch of Community Advocates, Managers, event coordinator, whatever thst means that are all sitting there with company cars but the Managers and event coordinator nevereave home and then pay commissions to how many different levels all for the same sale! Complete waste of resources

They just changed retail to the “local connections center”. I agree, it’s a horrible waste of company resources and the ROI just isn’t there. They just changed it a couple of months ago, I doubt they’re eliminating it that quickly.

The sales group has been eliminated. The techs now have that responsibility too.

I know windstream has some circuits with fairpoint that sunu led. Fairpoint made it where you had to submit a ticket online in order to get help. Couldn't call a ticket in there. Made support almost impossible. Maybe we go down that path of support. No internet to submit a ticket should stop people from calling the repair center

Ah, yes the customers, it seems like just yesterday I was called out to a customers site to remove a phone system.

They became so fed up with the support that they switched over to another provider, I'd completed pulling the equipment and used their bathroom on the way out.

I essentially dry docked the toilet, since it was tankless and an upper decker was out of the question.

Later at the bar, my coworkers high fived me, that customer was a royal pain to deal with.

Oh there will be people working. You just won't be able to understand them like most of the customers.

I wonder if the stupid customers know how long this company will run with no one working. 100 percent pure profit baby.

From what I hear directors don't usually know. The hit list comes down from higher.

I loved when Nexxio offshored my group, then they interviewed me and told me it was the best company they've ever worked for, along with after a year you get a week vacation.

I can't believe anyone who took them up on that offer is still there, thats easily the sh1tt1est benefit I've ever heard. Along with how they acted like it was a great company to work for. Seriously, F those guys.

Maybe they have already figured out that the new Retail is a joke and will finally shut it down and get rid of the worst management team in the company
