Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

No pay rises this year - no discussions until Q2 earliest

Confirmed no pay award discussions till Q2 earliest. Read from a script.

Appraisals will be released soon, probably next month.

Told in simple terms the wider industry is making cuts so we should be grateful we have a job.

And that the cuts are over as we enter into growth, that was put to us as a incentive vs pay.

DXC is attracting top talent.

DXC expects that we play ball and have integrity and pride in our work. And they will support the business with a can do attitude.

Managers will be empowered to make more decisions at local level.

@5ona+1mKIcRsf why would DXC give pay increases, you people bi--h but do nothing about it. Strike, leave the company, do something or shut your piehole and get to work.

I left in last year as I was sick of it, 8.5% percent raise at the new position, more vacation time than I know what to do with and less stress!

Who are you kidding @4ojx+1mKIcRsf?
The appraisals might be out but no sign of any merit increases and global apps leads have said DXC not even going to look at them until Q2 which of course means never.

This didn't age well did it? Performance reviews out, and merit payments for those who performed really well

I have a strong feeling this year the company will face significant blow back from the lack of commitment to the employee. All the messaging on 'do what you say you will do', 'people first' is clear to most that its utter rubbish. I've heard even the India GIDC is pi---d off now.

I expect those that own delivery for key areas and accounts are going to take the brunt of it when resources no show, quite quit or simply say no to more work. What will the manager do, fire them and wait for a backfill that is not coming? How will this help them further?

Please fill in your timesheets in time, complete the FPRs, take standards of business conduct and ethics courses regularly. We are turning the corner, pivoting into essential evolution and pay increases will follow.

The company is making good money, otherwise how would Mikee and Finchee Salvino get thier raises.

The message is clear whether DXECY make 1 Billion or 4 billion profit your not going to get anything, it will goto Mr and Mrs Mike Mikee and Finchee Salvino.

Even if it has to go on a Billion $ buy back every year it will, but you will get nothing, zero, fa.

In the meantime the employees are paying to support M & F Salvinos luxury lifestyles.

The situation is simple.

If you stay at DXC, you will continue with your current salary. You will not get a pay rise, no matter how hard you work or how well you do. Eventually, you will get WFR. The company's revenues are continuing to shrink and DXC is reporting a financial loss, so more WFR is inevitable.

But, you can leave. There's absolutely nothing keeping you there. So, get your CVs written, practice your interview techniques, and you're out of there. You can go somewhere that pays well, helps you to learn and develop. Somewhere that you can build a meaningful career with decent pay and bonuses.

Why stay, when the only beneficiaries of your hard work will be Sal and Finchy, not you?

No pay raises next year for the employees as Sally states his priorities. More of the same, revenue will keep dipping and he will keep on promising the same in year 5.......

In FY23, we were able to maintain our solid investment-grade credit profile, deliver over $700 million of free cash flow for the second straight year, and deliver on our $1-billion commitment to repurchase our shares. In FY24, we plan to do more of the same: maintain our investment-grade credit profile, expand our free cash flow, deliver higher quality revenue margin and EPS, and repurchase another billion dollars of our shares,’ says DXC Chairman, President, and CEO Mike Salvino.

DXC hasn’t given US and UK people merit increases in the past 8+ years for the most part. I got one 2 years ago, but not even 4% so it was a slap in tve face.

Stop posting here, post on Facebook, linkedin and email Mr Shoutly and Mary the streak cutter #2

I left in January and got an 8%+ increase and more vacation time than I know what to do with.

Folks yes buybacks shrink the overall Capital of the company.

The reason Salvi is doing buybacks is that his looting it backdoor as well, he gets paid mainly in shares so his trying buybacks to prop up the share price in order that he can sell the shares at a higher price.

Wall Street have worked out his just a 2nd rate talker of bull, not capable of growing the company as its has gone nowhere in years therefore the share price has actually declined. If there was any sign of growth the price would be $30 to $40 per share.

Just imagine what the share price would be if the buybacks didn't happen, about half at $10 - $15.

2 years of buybacks another load of wasted reward money for the failing gang.

Not sure if people realize this - all these buybacks are being executed with institutional investors. Which means they have enough power to influence the DXC board to do these buybacks. They are the ones who are pulling out the money. Which goes to show the level of confidence investors have in this company.

Since 2017, DXC has spent 3.5 billion USD in repurchases; more than 1/2 of which happened when the price was in the 30-50 range. So, the repurchases did absolutely nothing but throw away cash. What an utter waste of money. Money that could have been invested in the business. But, then, this also reflects the confidence the board / management has in the company's future. Why would you throw good money after bad? In essence, even the management is saying that they don't know what to do with the cash and they'll probably pi-s it all away. Here - take it back, Mr. Institutional Investor.

and also transparency, then removed the question, about raises, at the end , that was the top question and included inflation, which is 17 % .

Work to rule it is so.

Do your days work and leave on time. No going over and beyond as you are not rewarded for such behavior, in fact it is clearly discouraged by company policy. You are paid to work x hours and that is all you do.

You got trouble folks. Right here in River City. Trouble with a capital “T” and that rhymes with “P” and that stands for Phools. Once the institutional investors get panicked, ( they own over 85% of DXC’s stock) the LEAST of your worries will be pay raises!

Hey Gang

I'm loving it.

You lot have worked your ba--s off keeping this company afloat working during covid when the IT market boomed, you have worked through peak inflation at 10%, and now your going to work through a slowdown and I can threatened you.

I've managed to bull you through a full bo-m and slowdown economic cycle for 4 years promising you raises every next year/quarter and your stupid enough to believe me, ha ha. No raises for you, whatever the economy or company does!!!

Even a five year old wouldn't believe in my playbook , but you, the analist, and shareholders keep hanging on.

Myself and Mrs Mary Salv.. are enjoying every minute, just been banking our recent loot.

Onwards and upwards for the Salvinos...

A raise means so much more than money. It is a tangible sign that the company cares about your success and that your hard work is paying off.

Nobody is a fu----g coward you bell end!

The very first question on the global town hall was literally where is my money. No politeness, straight to the point. LOTS AND LOTS of questions were about money.

If your leadership don’t care why call the people asking cowards. Grow a pair of ba--s you pu--y and send an email to Salvino and ask what’s up!

duck being great-full, if DXC wants to make money it had better start handing out merit increases as we in the US are going on strike after the holiday weekend. No more OS , storage or network monitoring

I couldn't believe they banged on about trust so much and then avoided answering any of the tough questions, were extremely vague about appraisals and pay. So yet another years were these oh so trust worthy leaders are too chicken to tell staff there are no pay rises till September but it's definitely not money that is causing DXC's high attrition rate, it's career progression and managers. What utter bollocks.

But the two apps leaders definitely took a page out of Shouty's playbook and said we're new so no point looking to the past.

I wonder how many will still be left come Q2

There is no point them ba----g on about trust and delivers if they can’t do pay correctly. What’s the point of doing any year end stuff, talking about high levels of trust is meaningless if the employees don’t trust the organisation to deliver on its basic function as a company.

The Q2 pay discussion coincides with the Q2 retention bonus paid to holders of security clearances. So further proof of no money questions till July August earliest.

Basically not paying fu-k all in Q1, and judging by last year, initially they didn’t say no pay rises. They dragged it out till mid Q2 to tell us.

Heard from L2 first hand.
