What does a lawsuit involving claims handling have anything to do with employee law presumed by the OP's question? And yes, a class action lawsuit can't be stopped by that binding arbitration agreement, but an individual trying to prove they were wronged by being laid off? I'd like to see the meat on that bone.

That arbitration "agreement" is garbage. It was forced on labor and not signing was grounds termination so it's duress and worthless. A class action suit will get a lot of witnesses willing to testify about business practices and all they need to do is be completely truthful.
Remember that binding arbitration thing you had to sign as a condition of employment? Suing is not really an option except for egregious concerns. You'd have a difficult time making a case with any form of layoff. HR and the legal team are quite adept at ensuring they're in legally safe waters.
No employer is immune to legal recourse for violation of the law. If you are considered “protected class” and federal law has been broken start with your EEOC. Do your homework
