Unlimited Vacation is No Longer Unlimited

Has anyone else been told that DXC has now come up with a vacation time guideline?

Up to 5 years = 2 weeks vacation
5 years = 3 weeks vacation
15 years = 4 weeks vacation
23 years = 5 weeks vacation

Federal law doesn't provide guidelines for payment of time not worked, such as vacation or sick leave. Some states require employers to pay for unused sick or vacation time when an employee is terminated. Check your state law

How is this surprise? It was never unlimited leave instead it was always remove your allocated leave in the hope you feel guilty and don't take it (might work in USA, no chance in Europe) and best of all, you no longer have X numbers of days leave, you have zero

I have not heard the US vacation policy has changed, but early this year HR approached me to discuss a US employee that took 21 days vacation over 12 months in 2023 as they said it was excessive. I stated the current policy but was told anything over 20 days is considered excessive so I needed to talk to the employee about it. I told HR that they needed to change the policy before I talk to this employee and their response was they were looking at doing that. So maybe the policy is changing and somehow it’s gotten out before officially being announced.

So much anger! Are you OK? You’ve been away from DXC for over a year but here you are licking their boots. I suspect you may have had significant exposure to lead as a child which would explain the symptoms you exhibit.

Developmental Delays:
• Delayed growth and development
• Learning difficulties, including reduced IQ
• Behavioral problems like irritability, hyperactivity, or inattentiveness
Neurological Symptoms:
• Speech and language issues

@5dfm+1uHqheKa who gives a flying duck between your and you’re. Not a boot li---r, I finally had enough and changed employment 606 days ago. Now 3 pay increases, and another one in January if 2025!

I read no pay increases fir 12 years already, if you don’t like now your treated then make noise on sites that customers, investors look at, Also get a CV out and see if you can find a better paying job, with all the perks you have now.

DXC perks

Easy job
work from home
No OT if you really say No
Good vacation

I don’t take corporate boot lickers seriously. Let alone one that doesn’t know the difference between your and you’re. You don’t need a team of lawyers to prove a violation of labor laws.

They will fire your a-s for cause and you will have no money to pay your legal bills

Some people are so brave till they really think what would happen

Oh stop , if they change vacation policy or stop virtual 1st (work from home) you all will still stay at DXC and complain for another 10 years.

You are all 🐱 for staying and not funding a better employer

Sounds a bit like the new regime imagining "unlimited vacation" means our US guys are slacking.

Time to get back to "normal"

Next will be "why is everyone working from home, it means they aren't doing any work"

Those two policies are probably all that keeps anyone here, but I guess it doesn't mean anything to you Raul?

Here's an idea. How about a pay review that brings balance and fairness. Recognises contribution and rewards those who stay and retain business knowledge. Whilst encouraging everyone to deliver on the vision with bonuses for task completion.

The company couldn't even say thank you for 20 years service. There's no bonus for loyalty in this company. My holiday is contractual. If they want to reduce it, I'll be taking it back in sick leave.

We don’t get that in the UK. It’s blanket same days for everyone regardless of how many years you’ve worked.

I never cease to be amazed by our American colleagues accepting only 2 weeks leave.

The Execs have Vacation time. Cameron Art is in London more of the time than the America. His there weeks with Shelli.

The Drum also spending alot of DXC vacation in London.

They are exploiting and enjoying every way they can, whilst 2 fingers up to you lot.

Theres no money for the folks but plenty for the greedy leaders.
