Almost. Sometimes it’s convenient for a manager to persuade hr&co. that it’s in the best interest of the company to make ultimatums on employees that avoid laying off such as moving them from one profession to another or resign. It’s typically a tangible reason but what if it’s not for the correct tangible reason..... For example, sacrificial lamb - 1 employee in office administrative logistics to full on warehouse duties via plant transfer with no choice so they can contract 2 vendors?

It is not going to happen..... Schlumberger only wants people to leave when it is convenient for Schlumberger not when convenient for the employee. Fact.

I don’t get the terminology. Is this another form of calling it a “voluntary divestment reduction” of facilities that leads to voluntary layoffs? Hmmm I suppose everyone will be filling out their Quest agreements in the coming months but hey, at least there won’t be any sneaky gaslighting techniques to get you to resign from positions you’re not fully capable of doing!! No more of that management manipulating behavior with HR!! Yay! Ha! This outta close some EEOC complaints for sure! Not mine though! I’m never going away!!! I’m going to be in their face for as long as it takes! I don’t want their money, I want them all to see their souls!
All I can say is get out while you can. Oil field is dumped and this company not only drills the earth but also drills the life out of having any moral value...... you’ll see. They get pretty ugly with each other when they hold on tight. Oh, and get the Vaseline out cause you’re gonna need it. Maybe go to sams club and get it in bulk for your close nepped buddies unless they request to be transferred out to avoid their gang-stalking repercussions!
