Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

It was worth a try

I thought it would be much harder for me to find a new job because of my age. I sent a huge number of applications, there was no response for months. When I thought I would have to stay here for a while longer, I got an offer - almost 35% higher pay. So, if one wants a proper raise then he has to make an effort to get out of here.

Excellent move to get out of this %%$ ho-e and move on to an employer and company that invests in you - well done

Yep it takes some work but the payoff is real. Get started on moving forward - it will happen.

CONGRATS! When I left about a year ago I got around 30% raise. Haters will hate and winners will RISE! Don't be a HATER!

@4qre+1fOwZ8XH: Yet to hear a negative outcome, actually.

Nice to see some positive outcomes, after individuals left DXC.

I was made redundant from DXC almost 5 years ago. Now 56, I made a further move last August for 20% more. Feels almost as if its atonement for the years of no DXC pay rises.

I am almost ready to retire, so why not stay and do as little as possible and still earn a paycheck. He-l 10 days off every other month, why would I leave?

I am mid 50s and left 6 months ago with a 20% pay rise. Plenty of opportunities out there.

I left last year at the age of 58. Now I get 25% more money. The only problem is that because of the fantastic new work environment, there is a tendency to work to much :-)
