What ever happened with this?
Wouldn’t surprise me. An outcome of not being accountable to a budget, which is unlike most other departments.
GRC is about to stand for Get Readyforanother Career
What about GRC analysts?
Think GRC Analyst.
Today I heard our externals were getting cut.
Its not about the cissps , the whole response SOC for example are just ticket pushers that can be easily outsourced to Managed soc service. That would actually help State Farm if for example all state or some other company that The managed service support gets attacked we can leverage their knowledge and have controls in place before we are even impacted. Plus you can hire and retain the best of the industry otherwise doing the same thing everyday around tickets leads to burn outs. Same with support for elastic... in fact it somewhat already is as The externals do all the work, the internals just respond to tickets and emails
I typed CISSP on LinkedIn and saw 70,000 job openings with 13,000 fully remote.
Lol @ thinking a CISSP cert will keep someone's job from being outsourced.
CISO said Info Sec won’t be outsourced. Plus can’t see outsourcing a bunch of people with CISSP and SANS training. This ain’t ET folks
Heard same thing. They like the proximity to 55/74/39 for fulfillment center. Only sticking point is CIRA can’t handle current prime air fleet. Apparently discussion expanding a runway….
Big rumor that it is already sold to Amazon. I have heard multiple people say it.
It is why south campus is for sale…..
All of IT will eventually be outsourced to HCL. There will be a few people that will remain as State Farm employees but that will be very few.
Based off the other stupid decisions getting made, changes to info sec seems to be their next worse area to cut.
