Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

It's getting worse here every year

Perhaps someone will disagree, but for me personally, it's getting worse here every year. The attitude towards the employees is getting worse, there is less and less professionalism, and sometimes it is not clear to me where SF is going anymore. How will all this look in the coming years? I hope to watch it from a distance.

Man this thread has attracted a lot of trolling. This topic must be a sore spot.

Things have not gotten better at this company for customers or employees, aside from executives and maybe middle management. Any customer who has to use our services they have been paying for, beyond a small paint correction level of damages, is getting very poor service, attention, and is being guided by someone improperly trained, whos more concerned about hanging up early to better metrics.

I dont think I need to explain how its gotten worse for employees. Short staffing as policy, then creating a fake permanent emergency environment has gotten old. We are all sick of it.

The tude is awesome, SF kicking a-s and taking new customers, expanding market share and enabling bonuses. What's your beef?

It’s gotten better with MT in charge. He actually expects employees to work. Not just show up and collect a check. The long term employees who have spent decades doing nothing but collecting a check are outraged that they are expected to work out are shown the door. The younger employees are carrying the slack and tired of it.

@4knu......think the investing side is so easy? You're probably on another thread complaining that your 401K is down.....with the investments YOU chose for it.

Sour grapes commentary doesn't know I know who he is. He loved that line as a manager. He always acted like he was better than. Like Johnny Cash sang: ONEY! ONEY!

Its all about the $$$.

I can remember when they had Core Services to keep these in house. Guess that went out the window. The Staple Guy took care of that.

Leadership are the farmers who plant sour grapes. Take responsibility for what you have produced. Be accountable.

Years from know State Farm will have key employees working in the hubs, the rest of the positions will be outsourced.

At least OP gave me a laugh. Coming on THIS site and saying “Perhaps some will disagree”. Hilarious. Perhaps it will get darker after sunset, too.

SF is good at one thing. For every $1 they collect in premium, they pay out at least $1.05 in claims. So how do they stay in business? Easy. They make billions in investment income. And now that interest rates are up, they'll make more. The insurance mechanism is just to get potential investment dollars in the door. The rest is window dressing. Who needs a competent, well trained agency and company support staff when you make billions off your investment portfolio?

Subrogation should be the first to outsource in auto claim. Subrogation litigation is a joke. Give the attorney the authority. Collections just outsource. Arbitration....make the handler keep it. All that labor cost saved. Increase pay scale for hubs and be done with it. Also outsource field fire claims. Too much there too.

Yes, it is definitely getting worse every year.. at least in claims. Everyone is overworked and stressed out and there is no relief in sight because they have a hard time hiring people and when they do, they don't stick around. Can't imagine what this is going to look like in a couple more years. If something doesn't change, they might have to outsource a large part of their claims work.

Remember their motto in mgmt and executive as evidenced by their actions is: It's all about me. They will learn what happens with behavior such as that. Their workforce will generate the same behavior leading to over 50,000 people going in 50,000 directions leading ultimately to chaos. Many companies have lost their way due to this and SF is no different.

To be honest I use to over achieve and got fair ratings but now I just do what I have to do without over doing it. This has lead to 2 years of a 4 rating. It has nothing to do with developing or ect. It's all about who you know and acting like you really care. I found out the faker you are to your supervisor the better.

@2fgd-so multiple previous posts involved you saying how little you do and never do more than necessary or asked . Yet now you want us to believe you are a 4/5 performer? That speaks to your honesty and integrity. You are apparently the “George Santos” of SF.

@2gvo+1kLQyjC5 I guess I will respond one last time to this troll. Like I said it really doesn't matter what you think or what you think you know but unlike many I'm not lemming. Say what you say I know my weight and rating and pretty sure it's better than yours. The end!!

@2xwb-.sorry but not only do you not pull your own weight which you have bragged about previously but you are a liar as well. You have never received a 4 let alone a 5. Pure fantasy lazy boy.

1wtt+1kLQyjC5 - sorry I pull my weight and stay current to business trends and recieved 4 and 5 as far as ratings within past few years. You must be one of those incompetence people I mentioned. Stop sipping on that lean.

At least in my area it's a clown show. Incompetent leadership everywhere. They run it like if they where bullies in high-school. If you speak your mind and not a good boy they find ways to make your work life difficult. I don't really care if you disagree because I'm sure your sipping the Kool Aid and yes I have a plan to leave the company. Just my honest assessment. If your fine being here do you but for and those that work in this toxic work environment get your development on and bounce. Once I get my bonus two fingers to the sky with a mic drop I'm up.
