Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

CEO Club

This just shows how low they are, 15% reduction, seeing top guys being pushed out the door then they announce the 'winners' of CEO Club all expenses trip to Mexico, names on the list are definitely part of some club. They should be ashamed, what a horrible organization to be in at the moment

The ultimate kick in ba--s was getting taxed on a presidents club trip .. while sr mgt and souse didn’t pay a dime .. in other words the winners paid for them … Im outta this he-l hole a few years and know I made the correct move and the company is without a doubt the worst organization I’ve ever been involved with.

LOL - Nope, was here for another board, but noticed Xerox is the only one standing on its' own, so my ADD kicked in.

Not a Boomer, but wishing I was that close to retirement every day, because Monday comes too soon every week.

@4qeu+1rvmexUY - Don't worry about @5mdt+1rvmexUY he's just one of the many toxic, butt hurt ex-employees, that was found to be lacking and let go.

They live to be !@#holes that can't find a new purpose in life so they live here being themselves which is why they are serially employed.

Just keep being successful - it ki-ls these losers who are living with their parents...AGAIN.

@5ncr+1rvmexUY - Hmmm...Almost funny - And even almost actuarially right. However, just because I saud 40 years at some point doesn't mean I'm a boomer (not officially which is 1964 - I just started working young).

Which is something that through your entitled snottiness, says that you think eveyone owes you something. Sorry, earn it yourself, and perhaps you could do it before your parents hand it to you as an inheritance and you blow it all on the next "life experience" i.e. "Put it all on red."

Actually, I'm not surprised, as clearly all your best learning (as added to virtually every post), is seemingly gleaned from YouTube.

Can you actually write a cogent thought without a snarky video doing the work for you - At least ask ChatGPT if you can figure how to phrase it properly.

Get a more positive existence and perhaps you won't spend your entire life lamenting all things others have that you wish you could accomplish if the whole world wasn't against you, would forgive your student loan, let you work 1/2 time for full time pay, or just make the world a better place for you (specifically). Sent I can generalize about you and not find a meme, GIF, or steal someone else's thought in vide form. Try it, it's liberating, child.

Those of us that do enjoy creating, maximizing, and yes evetually retiring, wish you the very best in your "vision quest" for life in "negatopia," living on via other's hard work.

Now search YouTube for your next nugget of unoriginal thought that your vapid life presents via this form to the rest of us...lol.

@4yzs+1rvmexUY, @4kex+1rvmexUY, @4fzy+1rvmexUY - No smarter than anyone else. I'm just observant, listen, and don't spend my time with negative thought processes once I analyze a situation.

Here, you complain about length and read a follow-on as well...? That says a lot about your tendency towards jealousy as well as your ability to critically read and evaluate. You don't have to be smart to do that, just honest when evaluating the data.

You seem to denigrate professionalism which is probably why you picked the correct profession - Troll. You don't need any skills to be a negative person, just a bad attitude who builds his life up by trying to tear others down to make yourself feel better.

Sales is about solving problems. Your "Layoff Life" is about all the difficulties that others heap on you.

Congratulations, your life accumulation of knowledge and experience has made you....A curmudgeon...Enjoy wallowing in negativity via online trolling like a classic "Mean Girl."

PS. If you gotten this far, the previous collection of sentences, broken into thoughts gramatically referenced as paragraphs, was a total of 5...I wanted save you the trouble of using 2 hands to count this time...(-:

A, “sales professional” … oh myyy? Yes, no one understands the subtle art and tapestry threads of sales like you. Mere mortals a tedious bore.
6 paragraphs? Felt like 20. Maybe the condescending tone. How does one text with their nose so high? Arms tired? Congrats on the word of day calendar and, “You too Can be a Sales Professional” paperbacks.

@3brq+1rvmexUY - DTA

First, I said I was a sales professional. I never said I was with Xerox. Personally, I've never sold a single Xerox printer.

Second, not everybody understands professional selling (you obviously among that group) - so the post was about the frame of reference I've noticed in others that are successful, or learned about thankfulness (I can recommend "The last lecture" by Randy Pausch for your edification).

Finally, I appreciate the fact I could hold your attention through 6 loooong paragraphs. While comprehension and empathy isn't a strong suit of yours, perseverance isapparently!

Have a great weekend.

Honestly, in 40 years of professional sales I've had to explain more times than not to people that aren't in the role, that if you want to compare it to a sport, it's more like golf than footbal or baseball.

First, of course there are others that you lean on and learn from. You have coaches, mentors, caddies, and yes, supportive spouses and families that are absolutely fundamental and necessary for your success. Anybody that doesn't find away to thank and reward those people, isn't at their full potential as a professional.

However, my goal and the rewards derived are measured against how I execute on the course in my own game. And while there are other professionals on the course, if I play my best game, I will be successful. The leaderboard is simply a measure of how well others are executing in that tournament, too.

So yes, it is a competitive sport, but not I don't think of it as I beat John or Mary, it's I shot my own best and it was better than their best (today).

You'll burn out at this if you are constantly at redline trying to meet some arbitrarily set goal of management or the company, and back-stabbing or tearing others down to achieve something will eventually bite you in the a-s.

Finally, to the person who denigrated the "spouse reward" sentiment...Your understanding of the level of support necessary when 3/4 or more of your earnings are based on performance, rather than salary, is the likely culprit. You probably don't get how much it means to share something non-monetary with that person - especially the time together.

As in the cartoon, what a bunch of maroons...

Hate the sin, love the sinner.

Anybody that goes, have good time.

The rest of you complaining about Xerox, we can Agree on many things you're saying about the timing, etc., but being school-yard childish with comments on individuals and the circumstances around their qualification borne of ignorance is silly. It just appears petty or jealous.

190%+ of quota? Wow…how much was new business vs flipping laid off co-worker’s base account list?

We used to decline these type of awards as it was a team effort to reach our goals. Enjoy your trip knowing others lost their jobs. Don’t forget to wipe the brown stuff off your nose before you leave.

I am a CEO club winner. I am not part of some club and definitely earned the sales recognition. I am happy to see non-sales participants, as it takes lots of teamwork to succeed. As for me, I am uncomfortable with taking a Xerox paid trip at this time.

$2M GP on $8M in revenue? 25% GP? That seems low. Fortunately the real GP #s are higher right? Maybe bring a Uyghur as your plus one. Your wife will be fine with it.

Prediction: Live it up, enjoy the cocktails and food - Xerox will not pay the bill anyway - there was no money allocated a year ago. This is the last hoorah before the company files for bankruptcy. Yes everyone who exceeded targets and grew their business deserves to go - these are the best days of your lives, get what you can now cause the end is near, except for all of the upper crusts who will land perfectly with their golden chutes. Adios!

This money was allotted for well over a year ago. Each person on that list earned the spot to be there.
There is nothing to be ashamed of. Congratulations to each of the winners! It will be a spectacular trip!

I've been on the other side of the equation despite excellent performance over multiple years (twice). It su-ks, and I empathize with all those that were part of the IRIF. I'm hoping as happened with me, doors open and they are in better spots as soon as possible.

This year I was 190%+ of quota, $2M GP on $8M in revenue, I earned my spot.

I can't comment on those not on the list, or those we lost. However, I'm not apologizing for earning my award and taking my wife on a trip as her reward for putting up with a work lifecycle with stressors she has never understood, but in which she supported me and allowed me to flourish.
