Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Payrise News

7 working days left to Payroll cut off for the pay raises to be implemented. Has your manager had the meeting with anyone to inform them of the raise? Or are they still fiddling the figures? Time is running out.

Regardless of when you get told, or when it appears in workday, any raises will be effective from 1st December, just like Mary, Raul and other leaders said.

If your manager doesn't share information, ask. Ask them on your team Teams, chat, or ask them at your team meeting. The time table has been given in town halls, it's not a secret

DXC has become incapable of delivering anything. My manager sees determined to find any reason we won't be getting a rise. It feels like being setup to fail, through lack of planning, prioritisation, and useful training. I care, but I don't. I'm not expecting any rise and anything that comes will be an insult. I wish I'd quit years ago. Don't follow my regret. Get your rise and don't come back in the new year.

@5epp+1vm3vZWw Thanks for the timeline, no my manager doesn't tell us anything, they like to keep us in the dark.

And looking at the timetable you sent its not what was promised, they are now taking it to Dec 24th when all was supposed to be done by Dec 1st.

How can you slip 9 months plus on a simple yearly merit scheme then expect folks to deliver and win contracts.

If DXC can't deliver something internally on time then they can't deliver for the customer.

Mary F needs to go.

@4jlh+1vm3vZWw don't you talk to your manager?

Dates are well known
Nov 6 - 8 Manager Training
Nov 12 - 22 Manager Planning
Nov 25-29 Leaders Review
Dec 3 -13 Communicating to staff (it has a different name but ppt on work pc)
Dec 14- 24 Merit Rises in Workday, effective 1st Dec

So according to the official timetable this week and next week managers will be working out what rises they can give. Then the following week the leadership will take a red pen to all of it and we'll find out first week in December.

People will probably get the usual 1K to 2K USD, with most on the lower end. Moving backwards.

It's definitely happening timeline published etc etc. Of course how many and how much will only be known from 3rd December. And for those of you hoping your manager might have some influence, well the last week in November the Leaders get to undo sorry review managers merit reward decisions.

I just want to be paid in line with my colleagues. If it transpires that people have been hired on more than the company needs to pay, then that's the problem. If people have shifted into easy jobs but retained their high salaries then that's also a problem. Each job role we do has a value. DXC go figure out what that value is and say that's the salary here for that job. If you want more money train yourself to those higher value jobs. It encourages people to learn, move, but stay. It's not over till it goes bust, but it's going about it the right way if that's the intention.

I think the point is that there's only a few senior managers, and 130,000 employees. It seems to me the the workers get told there might be a pay rise. The middle managers dare not mention a pay rise up the chain. And the staff carry on churning out the pointless documents so nobody at the top sees an issue. The middle managers want the money for themselves, and are deluded that there will even be one. In fact when it's 1.5% for everyone no matter your appraisal score, they would be better saying sorry there isn't one than the rath that's coming from that sort insult.

" If you had a good manager - he/she/they/them would fight your corner and demand their staff be treated fairly."

Do you imagine your team leader manager has any more say in this than you do as a grunt?

The only ones with a say in it are the handful right at the top. Everyone else is just ignored.

@1iyc+1vm3vZWw what joke, they were supposed to have done mid years in October, inform raises in November, and pay by 1st December.

Amazing Raul cant even deliver that. Broken promises all the time.

@1euh+1vm3vZWw If you had a good manager - he/she/they/them would fight your corner and demand their staff be treated fairly. Say that if there's no rewards to hand out quite frankly they will balance it by dishing out free holidays and contriving to ensure nothing gets done until the people at the top start managing the company properly. Maybe that's exactly what the managers who say if you want a pay rise then quit are seeking to achieve.

Was told yesterday that we would hear by December 13th and that any rise would apply from December 1st. Keeping the dream alive to be dashed just in time for Christmas.

if you have a good manager he/she/it will tell you the truth: If you wanna have a pay rise > leave... as simple as that.

To highlight the problem DXC has created for itself, in my team of 60 everyone warrants a £30k rise.

They are dammed if they do, and dammed if they don't now. Whatever they dish out will be an insult. It's more likely to encourage people to say enough is enough. So as per previous years, just quietly hope everyone forgets, or better roll out the Christmas redundancy bus and tell everyone else they are lucky to have a job. Standard DXC playbook.

To be fair they said it would be in December pay not November, not saying it will happen but complaining it's not a month early is waste of time

Even the managers say leave - it's the only way to get a rise. The problem is, that's it's not. You can get your rise by working less, and putting the time to something else, paid or otherwise. What can they do - say but you won't get a rise when it comes. Well it's been 10 years, what's changed to make anyone think DXC will give more than 1% this year, probably forward dated to next April.

We all know the answer is 0% - but why provide that certainty, when you can get another 7 days of maybe, I've put in a recommendation, we'll all just have to see won't we anticipation.

DXC will review again in 12 months, slip it by 3 or 6, so try again 2026!!? If the company still exists then, and you are stupid enough to sill be here of course.
