Apparently outsourced to INDIA, cannot understand the guy trying to help me with issues but Humana thinks this is progress? Fix your systems and hire IT personnel who can really help us! What a disaster!

You have not being paying attention. ALL areas are outsourced. If you call HR, about your own benefits, IT help desk etc. the stateside are also contractors not employees. Accolade handles our calls.
I worked in an IT position a few years back, there was a big push from leadership to outsource our routine tasks to offshore contractors in India and South America. The problem was that these contractors were utterly incompetent and caused more problems than they solved, leaving us associates to fix everything they broke.
The people making decisions look at the bottom line and nothing more, if it makes sense on paper that's all that matters to them.

While I agree that working with IT help desks can be frustrating; I am curious if you verified the location of the associate you spoke with. An accent does not necessarily equate to a location beyond stateside. I urge all to consider potential implicit bias and ensure frustrations are not misdirected at those just trying to help. These are trying times; but the person at the other end of the line is still a person usually trying to do the right thing and the best they can do.
You do realize that not all of IT is in India, right? CSS was outsourced YEARS ago. Many of the developers are also offshore. However, the techs that actually fix everything CSS touched (...and fu---d up even more so) are stateside.
Humans IT is the BIGGEST joke out there! The whole Salesforce debacle was downright shameful. Our IT wouldn’t last 5 minutes at our competitors.
Humana has wasted thousands of$$$ turning nurses into robots working in an autodialer. Should invest in overall technology and US BASED IT AGENTS AND TECHS! JOKE!

I couldn't agree more. I finally gave up trying to get help today and hung up. I couldn't understand anything the IT was saying and he was no help at all.
