Anyone else want to know the results?? If we are not good enough to move on I would like to if the assessment truly tells me anything and a complete explanation of how the assessment works, what the results mean, how many studies have been done on the assessment and the validity of the results. If Allstate truly cares then actually give people input.

@1iio+177RsE2U Nearly all of the managers I know being retained are very senior employees, the young ones are all being sent packing, maybe these managers did good on the assessment because they sit around and play puzzle games all day?
@4dqc+177RsE2U if someone told you they did not take the assessment and were retained they are not telling you the truth unless they were in a pay band that was not required, there were people who did the same job but different pay bands that had different requirements. I can tell you from an HR person that we had several who did not initially take the assessment and those individuals were informed of the change to the severance package, anyone who did not take the assessment that was required to was given a layoff notice and yes there were a few.
If you took the assessment you know there is no "negative" answer it is a choice between 2 similar questions, the only way you can actually try to "fail" the assessment is not answering the "puzzles" in a timely manner, one thing to think of is that in some areas few people were laid off, it was by job title and also by pay band, I can tell you in some pay bands for specific jobs on 2 out of 20 people were let go, in some pay bands 10 out of 20 were let go. If you were let go look to see what is out there and I know we will all land on our feet.
Assessment doesn't mean a thing. I know of a field tech not taking it and is safe. Also know a DOC worker purposefully answered as negative as they could to get laid-off and severance was retained.
Hi,
Remember that binding arbitration agreement you all "voluntarily" signed last year? Yeah, that's meant to discourage you from forming a class action and suing to discover whether the layoffs represent age discrimination.
You're welcome
@1czk Strange...in my area and as many have posted here we have seen the opposite that you are seeing. 30+ year high performing employees let go by these clueless scumbags while newer not giving a f**k inconsistent jack offs keeping their jobs.
@nvn+177RsE2U can you explain why so many people I know that are being shown the door are the newer employees that are low in the band and the ones kept have reached the max of their band are within 5 years of retiring? Some had said they planned to retire at the end of this year then when all this went down they waited and now they are being kept, WTH?? I know so many that are being shown the door with kids in school while the ones kept have no one but themselves or them and their spouse.
Well if that is the case then they may have really screwed up basing lay off decisions on false conditions and pretenses. I would still ask for my assessment results and if the company refuses look into the legalities all around. F*** the arbitrators.
This was payroll dumping. Assessment didnt have anything to do with it.
I would assume if requested and considering they influenced job standings and layoffs that there is a legal obligation to provide assessment results if requested. I would seriously question this if they refuse.
Tom said he took the assessment. He should have shared his feedback for transparency (a term he does not know) and then we could all compare it with his.
There was no assessment! I mean, yes - we all took one - but this played no factor in their decision making. As others have stated, this was sheerly to provide themselves cover. Decisions were made using pure economics. “We need to cut 2-million dollars in annual payroll by the end of the fiscal year. How can we get there?”
Adjuster A on full input earns 52K annually
Adjuster B on full input earns 44K annually
“OK, adjuster A it is”
No regard for past performance. No stinking assessment outcomes. We’ve witnessed this, in person!! It’s documented, in these discussion forums!
