@mz7 Richmond had about 15 operators. They are doing it on a “volunteer” basis then will go by seniority

Any ideas on when they’ll announce the next round of involuntary layoffs?

@hja Enhancements were pretty solid. Health care tied to years of service. Since the cutoff was 10 years you can do the math on the low end of enticements.

Another category of person who would accept is someone who believes that layoffs are coming and non acceptors will be first on that list to go.

@45g people who take a VSP fall into a couple categories:

1) have a lot of time in and have been waiting for their turn to retire with the enhancements

2) already have something lined up

3) a su-kie employee or have a su-kie manager and are already on thin ice. Or this person could just wait to get the package.

In the past packages have been the same 2 weeks per year with a minimum of 8 weeks. And 1 year of medical and dental free. With some enhancements to lure older people

@69z Colleagues opting into the VSP had to inform the company this week. Anyone know what's next?

@5b0 Everything about this inaccurate. 2 weeks per year. 52 week cap. Some get an additional benefit based on years of service. Max payout 2x yearly salary. Health and dental extends based on years of service with a max of a year. Then subsidized to Medicare. Execs get different/additonal considerations.

@49w The next round won’t be an offer. It’ll be involuntary severance.

@46a but do you expect the offer be worse? for next round of non voluntary layoffs?

@45g The danger is getting laid off after this round of voluntaries is over.

What is the sentiment you’re feeling on the ground? Are mostly people eligible planning to accept?

@3qt rumor is, for the benefits only part, that it's 6 months of coverage. I'm not sure about the severance pay.

@3jx it stated if you have been with the company 10 years or more and if you are over 50 years old. They claim it's voluntary but we all know it's not.
