How likely is that there will be Colgate-Palmolive layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

@mz7 Richmond had about 15 operators. They are doing it on a “volunteer” basis then will go by seniority
@mm2 does anybody know how Hills US has been affected? How many people ha e been chosen to go?
@kcy Emporia had at least one
@kb6 1 here from what I heard, ush7
@k7m kentucky had 2 layoffs. Wondering what the other plants had.
@k7m very scary. Anxious for what they are about to do
@hpx just did for Hill's. May 7th they will be sending calendar invites to the affected employees
@hpx Today for North America
Any ideas on when they’ll announce the next round of involuntary layoffs?
@hja Enhancements were pretty solid. Health care tied to years of service. Since the cutoff was 10 years you can do the math on the low end of enticements.
Another category of person who would accept is someone who believes that layoffs are coming and non acceptors will be first on that list to go.
@45g people who take a VSP fall into a couple categories:
1) have a lot of time in and have been waiting for their turn to retire with the enhancements
2) already have something lined up
3) a su-kie employee or have a su-kie manager and are already on thin ice. Or this person could just wait to get the package.
In the past packages have been the same 2 weeks per year with a minimum of 8 weeks. And 1 year of medical and dental free. With some enhancements to lure older people
@49w offers are the same
they just announced merger of Europe and Africa and Middle East divisions today so expecting redundancies to be coming in the next few weeks.
@69z Colleagues opting into the VSP had to inform the company this week. Anyone know what's next?
@5b0 Everything about this inaccurate. 2 weeks per year. 52 week cap. Some get an additional benefit based on years of service. Max payout 2x yearly salary. Health and dental extends based on years of service with a max of a year. Then subsidized to Medicare. Execs get different/additonal considerations.
@3rv 2 years Max.. 1 month for each year.. Grade 22 and below.
@49w The next round won’t be an offer. It’ll be involuntary severance.
@46a but do you expect the offer be worse? for next round of non voluntary layoffs?
@45g The danger is getting laid off after this round of voluntaries is over.
@45f personally I wouldn't, not sure if I can find another job in this market.
@440 The people I've spoken with are all planning on taking it.
What is the sentiment you’re feeling on the ground? Are mostly people eligible planning to accept?
@3rv It varies based on years served.
@3qt rumor is, for the benefits only part, that it's 6 months of coverage. I'm not sure about the severance pay.
@3kp what is the offer? generous? 1 month for each year?
@3q7 Thanks they are acting very quickly as we suspected. us in EU/UK are still waiting no news so far but many of us have 3 month notice periods
@3ph North America
@3pj March 1st. First to leave from those who accept is March 31.
@3kp how long are people given to decide?
@3jx which region is this? we are EU/UK heard nothing
The real pain comes after the voluntary terminations wind down.
@3jx it stated if you have been with the company 10 years or more and if you are over 50 years old. They claim it's voluntary but we all know it's not.
It came today
I think it’s coming this week
@2cp And it's gonna be a lot of people.
probably us global people will go first, they are the highest paid
@OP New video from Noel dropped today talking about this. People are and will be leaving by one means or another.
