Reality at Micron is such that the individual performance is dependent on many factors, the fab performance, the quality of the material processing before and after you, other’s support etc.
At the end of the day it is the management discretion who gets resources and shines and who is going down. Saying that you didn’t have resources meets: “you have not asked/justified correctly.”
Once you find yourself on the underperforming side, just find some other opportunity and leave. Do not rely on promises of the future promotion, next year, etc.
It is the management’s job to make people work for the future perspectives.
Think what you have here and now. They have all resources to make you feel good and valued. If they don’t do it, look for the external opportunities, there is nothing wrong with that. It is all at will.
