@3uxr — Pretty sure I was in the last group of regular employees (non-VP) that received accrued/graduated severance packages at the end of 2002. Those who were "lucky" and stayed for another 2 or three months until the next round of layoffs got a fraction of what they would have during my round. Mine was a full year, theirs was 2 months at max; those days are long gone.

I know POLS gets mentioned on this thread a lot but it's everyone. BD kicked to the curb after three decades of service, so many others, with nothing. Not even an email wishing them well to the company. I love how someone in a town hall asked about it publicly. Curious how we teach our managers to even interview these days. Who wants to work here? I remember when I really believed telling candidates that the company cares about you, one big happy family. How naive. I should have left when they offered me severance with one of the reorgs a while back. Now I'll get nothing. I would warn anybody and everyone looking to work here to beware!
The severance package have been gone. A slap in the face to all of us who stayed for being loyal.
Yes, for all of Pearson. It’s a corporate policy as of 6/15. Funny how it began right after POLS was sent to walk the plank. Not a good look.
