Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

Capital One wants quitters, wants to avoid layoffs

Don’t ever quit. Remember these losers don’t don’t about this site, so they might not realize we know not to quit. You can’t get unemployment if you do. Let them give you a cp or pip. Let them fire you. These cowards refuse to lay us off to avoid paying severance. They will have to pay unemployment anyway. Pay us severance instead of trying to wear us out with b2b calls. I can’t wait to tell every call center in Tampa which managers were an ally and who did corporates bidding. See them get a job then.

It's true what they say that you have to F* your way to the top.

@4evv+1re0RMcM. I'm not surprised your former manager was F* her boss. Both probably married too.

I took a business trip from Tampa to Richmond with my DM, a couple PAs, and a few of my peers. We stopped at Target to get ourselves drinks and snacks for the hotel. Somehow a pack of condoms ends up in our cart and my DM buys two individual cupcakes. The only person she was really meeting with on this trip was her boss. Looking back now I can see how she treated some associates in the dept “different” and gave preferential treatment.

@3srt+1re0RMcM is right. Management only thinks about stack rankings and their $€xual pleasures, their minds are in the gutter and crammed with filth.

If you get placed on a coaching plan or a PIP read the below actions. A coaching plan is a precursor to a PIP and if it has lies and exaggerations you don't sign it in Workday. If the coaching plan turns into A PIP you never sign a PIP either. It's not used to improve your performance if it has lies and exaggerations so you've been set up to fail. Nearly 100% of the time no one passes a PIP. You tell them to let you go with severance and so you can get unemployment benefits. There is nothing to lose because you've already been targeted to be fired. So fight for your life.

If the company refuses to terminate you and provide you severance and unemployment benefits then you write an email to you boss and his/her boss and cc: the HR Business Partner for your team and accuse them of bias, discrimination, harassment, anti-semitism, racism, s-xism, ageism, colorism, lookism, disability, religion, and wrongful termination. And anything else including that you were a whistle blower for serious corporate misconduct.

Also, don't just quit without a job because you won't get unemployment insurance for voluntarily leaving. You want to get fired. And you simply tell your new company that there was a company wide layoff. Background checks only tell a new employer your last title and dates of employment and can't divulge any reasons for getting let go. Its the law. So you're safe.

I used to be a People Leader in Tampa. I had over 10 years with the company and the best thing I did was leave. The company is not what it was when I started and the biggest regret I have is getting into the PL role with Capital One. There’s nothing but politics and the majority of the PA “Senior Leaders” and Department Managers in Tampa are straight trash and willingly cover up illegal things such as harassment and discrimination, and compliance risks and concerns that absolutely put their customers and their accounts at risk. Not to mention the DMs and PAs who had “inappropriate” relations with the people who reported under them….usually in the parking garage. I’m sure there’s a lot of people who lost their “Influence” once the building closed and they couldn’t “Influence” anymore

Capital One has enough brown nosers to keep this going on for ever.
