Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Beyond Toxic

I’m old- I’ve worked at a lot of companies over the course of my life. Honeywell is BY FAR the most toxic place I have ever been. It’s next level toxic. Like an acid bath every single hour you’re there. Management shows contempt for the people they manage, they do not have their people best interest at heart. They don’t even have the companies best interest at heart. There is back stabbing, infighting, every man for themselves mentality, and it’s RAMANT here. In every corner. Every function. It is a horrible, horrible place to work. It’s soul crushing. The daily stress inflicted on low level people is criminal. The sociopathic mindset rules here. If you have an offer from Honeywell? Run, don’t walk, in the opposite direction. You will very much regret taking a job here. I know I do.

Bracing for the childish slack I'll get for this, but hon is not a resume ki-ler, not for me. Those who knew, knew. The tech and processes are seen as mature and some of the best (some). I still left this ridiculous a$$ bag company and their slow coach managers, but the years I spent there became great experience to go get another 20k and better benefits.
Good luck. Get out while you can, at any age.

This company dragged me down a craphole. Engineering was my life's blood until Honeywell with their 6 sigma dogma and their med evil 9 Bock assessment ways to eliminate employees who were intellectuals and free thinkers no ascribing to the infantile demeaning kindergarten checklists they reduced serious engineering to.

The putrid Canadian operation in Kanata must be amongst the worst.

As an ex corporate HR exec I can neither confirm or deny that we paid for Glassdoor reviews, it is common practice.

We still see bootlickers and stooges praising them on Glassdoor, shapeshifters who simply came with the furniture.

I got some really bad news for you. Real companies don’t wanna hire people like us. When you accepted a job at Honeywell. You ki-led your career.

Nobody wants to hire a Honeywell employee. Due to our worth ethics. Even if you ain’t in the same boat. They see your application. Then they put you in the same boat.

Trust me, I’ve been applying for jobs. With a little luck. It might be because of my age. Yet! Other older people I’ve got jobs outside of Honeywell. When they don’t use Honeywell on their résumé.

I’m starting to think I should leave it off.

Couldn’t agree with you more. By far the absolute worst in how they treat & ‘value’ their employees. Toxic cesspool of doom.

Agreed in my experience. I dread certain meetings when I see a specific VP is reviewing. All the VPs I deal with are pretty terrible, but one in particular is really bad. The CTO for intelligrated is particularly savage. Nearing communist dictator levels.

I lost my 175k+ job there with no fall back plan and was instantly and significantly happier. Sunday night dread was a 24/7 thing, holidays included. Guess they hope they can just incessantly call their workers future shapers and no one will realize how sh---y the whole company is.
