Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

I was informed by my manager that effective the end of September I was terminated by DXC due to company not making enough money? When our contract at AT&T expired, March 2022, they brought the whole group back to DXC and I was told that DXC didn't plan on any layoffs for at least a year. They also held back 10% of pay to be paid out at 6months then 12 months for a quote signing bonus. I wasn't told how wide the WFR went does anyone know? Was it only in the US, was it only Network services? My manager seemed reluctant to tell me these answers. When I mentioned what about "no layoffs for a year", he said things change and the company wasn't making enough money, but I am, was not, in a profit center, never was as far I knew?

The network area definitely needs to be fixed after all the back and forth with AT&T. So they are making efforts to sort out this place, help the co.

I too was informed last week that I no longer am employed after the end of the month. The fact that this will leave my client in a bind does not seem to matter to anyone. I am simply a $ figure to deduct from the cost bucket. I find it difficult to determine how this equates with our "CARE" value where "we take care of each other". I guess the "other" is the stock holders and chief operating officers.

Yes we're lucky going to AT&t we are on 60% more than our DXC colleagues.

We gave got used to the raises and bonus so it's a big kick when we didn't get anything this year.

We are fearing they may get rid of us in Networks as we are quite costly and gey could get alternatives.

We are luck we are quite ahead, but how they could deny DXC staff this year is unbelievable.

The CSC --> AT&T --> DXC shuffle affected a lot of people. I know it's tough being let go, but just be THANKFUL for your time at AT&T. At least you got a RAISE every year with AT&T. A couple of really decent ones too. Also, the BONUS scheme at AT&T was nice as well. The folks who STAYED with CSC/DXC (those that didn't get chopped in the interim) are still making the EXACT salary the were 8 years ago! Be grateful for your time with AT&T. RUN from this chithole-of-a-company they call "DXC"..... They make you buy your own BUSINESS PHONE!...Bwahahahahaha....WHO DOES THAT?....... If you stay, YOU WILL BE ABSORBED!!! - Landrew.

Most on here have learned and understood that DXC constantly lie and you should never believe anything they say. It would be better that they didn’t say anything at all.

A piece of advice: never trust what is said, only what is done. The only constant in DXC is layoffs.
