I spoke with a vendor tonight that has been performing work in various T-Mobile Switches across the country. He stated a switch in Kansas has moved all of their Switch Techs to contractors. Is there any truth to this, and can we expect it everywhere?

Sorry to everyone losing their jobs but congrats on the severance. I am hoping the luck comes my way. I have given my all and I burned out.
What states have these switch techs been let go??
Today our switch team was let go, it was fun while it lasted. I will take the severance and chill for a bit. I am very thankful for my time here at T-Mobile, but agree, we haven't done much for a good amount of time.
For this post, what market was this in?
Yes, its whats going on, our switch team was let go last Thursday. They're starting on the east coast.
Yup. They already started.

You think a union and competitive bargaining are going to save you from losing your job? How stupid are you?
Yes, its whats going on, our switch team was let go last Thursday. They're starting on the east coast and going West. My guess is that they don't want to make a scene so they're not doing it all at once. Switch guys get your resumes together because its coming very soon for you all.
No worries...if you're a tech at TMO, you're already a contractor being AWARDED work through SCOPE. Pretty easy to unplug employees and move to contractors. CWA!!!!!
Yeah, vendors letting themselves into a critical facility will work out great. The stuff I’ve seen vendors do while people were on site, can’t image what they will he doing with no supervision. They never know where their own sh-t is on the floor. “Ooops, this wasn’t my Juniper”.
No. They're just shifting roles to make them become more useful. Vendors can let themselves in so no use in being in the Switch unless something breaks. Contractors can escort vendors while real work is being done.
Ulf the Destroyer strikes again. Ki-ling everything he touches.
I saw last week that someone had mentioned that they were laid off. I know that the new Area Model is not going anywhere so this rumor may have some merit
