DEI is going to quickly and rightly be regarded by our new federal government as a blatantly illegal quota scheme and a violation of civil rights. That's because it is discrimination and a violation of equal treatment. To have Seagate still adhering to it puts the company in unacceptable risk. We've seen that the company primarily cares about "compliance" to rules above all other ethics.

LOL. It amazes me how people who are not in marginalized groups can speak so negatively about DEI. Do you know what DEI is? Do you know how/why DEI came about? Do you know/understand what/who marginalized groups are? Do you understand the dislike/prejudice other races have against these marginalized groups not only in everyday living but in hiring practices? Do you see a plethora of representation of these marginalized groups as individual contributors, management, VP, etc. at Seagate or any other large company? No, you don't. Do you think that people from marginalized groups are not as intelligent as others? Yep. You probably do. I pity you.
@3nth+1wbffNkN They still backup to tape drives. Someone needs to fire you.
I remember when Seagate decided it was in charge of my medical decisions and my personal body and threatened to fire me and destroy my career and family if I didn’t comply to their medical expertise which they acquired from many years in the computer business. Wasn’t that fun? And they literally fired people too and went ahead with it. Well it’s flu season again? Where’s Dr. Seagate to tell me what to do again?
Our technology is at end of life. It really doesn't matter if you get back to work.
