Anyone notice there are many high post job being taken by Indian? Such as the career discovery team. I don't even know what the heck they are talking about. Once they grab a high post, will build the empire there by bring in a buntch of people to join. When RIF, mostly they are safe. Shall you are critic this, very obvious you are one of them

I am curious, were you expecting us to sell products there indefinitely while not giving some of the work to them? We do they same, japan want to sell Camrys here, so we have Toyota plants in the USA. And many of those jobs are very highly paid.
This is normal business. Make sure you have marketable skills and be always ready and willing to compete.
@3bqq+1nNGuSOu. Suppose you give us the facts?... You know..... Proof?
What are you...... like 12? Who cares if an Seagate hires from India. The company is changing. Jobs are moving offshore. Same with their competitors who the have to stay competitive with. I am in Minnesota AND I was let go and I disagree. Many companies are doing the same thing. Given that. Seagate is not the same anymore. Will never be. I wasn't enjoying it anymore. Found a new job that is fun and fulfilling. If you do not like it, just move on. Don't just sit back and target groups of people who happen to get hired.
@ 2ues+1nNGuSOu: No, mate. It's not a small sample size; You can check with your friends in other companies, from outside the US and you'd be surprised (or not?) that they'd give you the same answer. It is not racist. It is stating a fact, an observed pattern. No one has time to pick on anyone or be racist, nope!
You have a racism problem dude
Makes perfect sense! STX is like a worn out motel on it's last legs.
Seagate is in international company. It does whatever it wants until fined by a local government.
Based on your standard of English, you can never be at a high post, with the only exception being the post of the CIO.
What? You guys are surprised about this? And i tell you this for free: it happens in US, Canada, Europe and Asia too. I have no issue if you bring in capable people that can deliver. Unfortunately, it is not always the case, most of the time.
Following the promotion of an individual from India to a managerial position, they have been consistently hiring more Indian individuals. Despite recent layoffs, this hiring trend persists, raising concerns about its potential negative impact on the company's cultural diversity.
Mods nuke all posts containing hate speech and racism, they have low tolerance on this.
Also, avoid use of names and personal identifiers of non-public figures (coworkers, direct managers). cause that's is not allowed. This rule doesn’t apply to naming BoD, C-suits and comms as they are all public figures (so it's ok to name and criticize, if journalists can, so can you).
Use of foul language and personal insults - you need to cross the line here, cause they tolerate occasional curse or two.
Read the TOS. Duh!
I see that posts are removed again. Why??
I agree on that ..many companies have strict rules on nepotism.
Seagate promotes and encourages nepotism from my observation. The number of related people and old friends who just happen to be working here is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. Spouses, kids, relatives all working even in the same department seems common. I can come up with 6 examples right off the top of my head. It’s who you know here that matters most for sure!
Little contribution as well. Just too many words.
Been happening for years. Dave sold out the US workers and country many years ago to foreign labor. Sells out US national security for profit as well. These people have no loyalty. Maybe CEO job should be outsourced to India.
