Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Who gets a yes?

Is it only Maurice that gets a yes?

Need to backfill a role? We get no.
Need funding for a broken process? We get no.
Need funding to improve a process or build a client request? We get no.
Want to promote a hard worker? We get no.
Want to give money to a deserving employee? We get no.

Culture? No. WFH? No. PTO parity? No

I guess old Mo is the only one who gets a yes.

@dv you realize people go years without being promoted right?

Some even are at the top of their pay bands and don’t get raises because there is no more growth in their role structure.

Most times you have to leave your department to get a promotion. Or the company.

@fk add 10 million to that. And remember- all cash.

Absurd.

Easy to get a yes when you are the CEO and earn $34 million/year. I am wondering if AI is going to replace all these overpriced and useless executives. That could save the company many millions per year.

My whole department has gone a full year now without promotions, at this point I'm waiting to see who else will quit. So many deserving folk who have been on the cusp of a promotion yet we can't offer it to them. It's unfortunate because we're bleeding talent.

@cp strategy has no strategy. Center part dude thinks he does. They toss buzz words and goals with zero steps or plans to get there.

That's all we ever hear is No to everything. It's okay when they want you to work 60 hours a week, then they say yes. I say No to overtime! I start early and leave early. Schedule a meeting after my work hours, the answer is No. I don't call into meetings after my work hours are completed for the day. No, no, no. Saying Yes to anything is just waiting time
