It's no wonder she's completely out of touch. The absolute nerve of saying "I know it's disappointing that you're not getting a pay rise" when you're being paid as much as an office worth of regular employees each month.
It's a scandal Mary on so much money for little work when folks are over worked and told there isn't money for a raise every year. Clear Double standards.
Most of HR can be done via a bot giving the answers, only requires a few actual HR people to deal with complex issues.
As for Marketing no one is aware of the DXC brand so that money on the soccer team and F1 is just wasted. In reality DXC don't do any proper Marketing.
Overall a bad role which was a favour from Mike to Mary, times have now changed and DXC need to change the role on that monet is redundant, how many HR people do you know on $5 million that deliver so little?

What does Mary do day to day?
Well we do get 2-for-the-price-of-1 ... there could have been a $5M Marketing Mary and another $5M HR Mary
For Marketing there is all the work associated with the Ferrari F1 and Manchester United football sponsorships - two teams that are at the very top of their game ;-) Just don't tell Red Bull or Manchester City
For HR with no pay rises for the past 100 years there are the 2 emails per year plus one Town Hall a year to organise

What does Mary do day to day? A couple of sponsorship deals in 4 years.
Could they get a Admin HR for 200k then 10 marketing people another million, total 1.2million as opposed to 5 million.
Would DXC win more business/marketing awareness that way.
Think Raul needs to think hard what HR and Marketing isn't delivering and how Marysvrole has come to an end.
Unless Raul is vegetarian, she could always offer her services as a Steak Cutter (invoking memories of Joanne Mason who was Mike Lawrie's Chief of Staff).

Poor Mary wonder if she can pay the family food bill, wonder if can afford to keep the heating on in these tough times.
Now that Mike's gone she won't be going on all them free trips and won't be servicing Mike's requirements.
If you were in her shoes it would be terrible, when you have that much money what do you do, what would motivate you? 2 emails a year is enough on that money why do more.
Wonder if Mr Raul will be as generous as Mike was.
