Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

**** DO NOT WORK AT STATE FARM ****

So I left another bad insurance carrier to come to work at SF and it has been a horrible mistake! This place is run by complete and absolute id--ts! I can't understand how this place is still in business. WFM is a complete joke and so are the useless metrics. They have no idea what a real QFC is and all the lazy employees gaming the system hide in the team environment. My TM reviewed a call with me and said I did a great job but can't spend that much time on the phone helping the customer. What they make customers go through to get an estimate or payment for repairs is basically criminal! 2-3 weeks to maybe inspect a car and ignoring state laws! Rumor is SF needs to hire at least 3K-4K people at a bare minimum. The agent's are horrible to deal with and speak down to everyone. They make comments like why do I have to do your job! Lord forbid you actually have to call and help an insured find a body shop or rental car. How dare we!!! Useless agents! Exec leadership lies constantly and expects other leaders to follow their direction, anyone below that has no authority to do anything except run scared all the time and do what they are told. It is just an absolute horrible toxic work environment. All the tenured employees are just praying for a buyout or a layoff/severance of some type. I have never seen anything like this! People hoping to get laid off and take a severance package. WOW! Do not come to work at State Farm if you are considering it. I have an interview next week for a job for 10K less and will be elated if I get it and leave ASAP! Run away from this insane asylum as fast as you can and do not work in the insurance industry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and I had to go into the office for the first time and most of my co-workers looked like they just crawled out of bed/ditch or SF pulled them out of the unemployment line!

Cry baby. I bet you complain about your next insurance company too. It's called a labor shortage everywhere....estimates are backed at all major insurance companies.

Basic economic rules. You can eliminate the middle man but you cannot eliminate their function. So what do they do? Promise the moon to the newbies; then turn and burn them. If you know that, you can beat them at their own game by preparing early.

We once had freedom. Then, Kalifornia Gutierrez case which cost them a ton of dough for unfair labor practices. Since then it has been an oligarchy by the book condescending pile of you know what. Because of greed, selfishness, and downright hypocrisy the business at SF is in utterly complete chaos. I say to "them" BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR! IT CAN BACKFIRE. Just ask the current government administration as an example. SF is no different.

@2wtx- Get all you can from those jokers. Those bean counters over claims can take a long walk off a short pier. They deserve what they get (employees leaving) and keeping the ones who sadly don't have options.

Let me tell you why I don't leave. I've been with SF 28 years/52 years old and make $125K as an MG3....ie...whatever the new pay scale is....blah blah blah. Right now if I retire at 55 and delay taking my pension until I'm 62 I will make around 45K a year in pension. I have $500K in my 401k and maxing it out each year and hope to double it before taking out a single dime.... I've got 3 more years and I might try to stay another year or two. Each year I stay past 55 adds another $2K a year to my pension. If I live till the standard calculation age/85, each extra year I stay it costs SF about $50K-$60K more in total pension costs. It's just a matter of f-ckng them in the arszzz for as much money as I can at this point. The company is pure cr-p and so are all the useless burger flippers and "box checking" people they are hiring. They are screwing their policyholders and getting away with the unimaginable. I could care less about SF......I cut every corner I can, do not try to develop the mindless fools they sit in the seats, and laugh every other week when they put that money in my account. Just like Tipsy, it's just business. I lie (re-message), cheat, and can manipulate just a good as our Execs can! Joke is on you! I tell every single person I know how horrible SF is and personally can account for at least 45-50 people taking there business elsewhere. I encourage you to undermine everything SF tells you to do and just smile the whole time! It's just business!

I was laid off in 2019 because our office was closed...I guess I am a tenured employee? I was recently offered a Limited Tenure Opportunity....to come back to work as a claims employee..LOL

Same rate of pay...and they want me to reapply for the position? ummm no ....You have my work product you know I what I am capable of??? Not going to reapply for my old position....and I am going to need way more money...

So far I have not reapplied for the position nor do I intend to....I mean if SF really wants me back as a claim handler they would have just offered me the position and for more money. But they didn't...so I don't think they really want me back as a claim handler?

First off why do I need to reapply for my old position, second why would I want to work for the same rate of pay?

Seems to me they need me more than I need them, they came looking for me( so far they have asked twice), I did not go looking for them...

I am waiting for the 3rd ask...then I will start my negotiating ....LOL...

.....Laugh at all the id--ts trolls that say go do something about it or leave...the OP stated they were interviewing somewhere else....and looking for another job to get out....Are you too stupid to read or just the same pencil d-ck troll(s)that tries to destroy ever single thread on here? Probably the skinny jeans cutting off the circulation to the beard or new tattoo....your mommy is calling you downstairs for your dinner....

The trolls are kind of correct here. If, at this point, you’re still whining and acting surprised at the sh@&show you’re part of and haven’t done anything yet, what’s it going to take for you to do anything?

It seems to me that the people that could get out did get out. State Farm is left with either bottom feeders or extremely lazy people with zero self confidence.

If this doesn’t apply to you and you’re still there, take advantage of the bullish climate for job seekers and get out now while the getting is good. Otherwise, you probably should just suck it up and quit bi-----g.

Are you sure? Seems like the people that post how absolutely miserable they are but cannot muster up the courage to leave are the d-mb ones. So apparently after how many years they are expecting SF to do a 180? Who is d-mb?

It’s not just claims and afraid. Truth hurts those nasty trolls on here. They clearly make big bucks or accept the status quo. Like leadership. They are the d-mb ones.

@OP+1e0CabiT

People living just above the poverty line, looking homeless. If you can’t put 2 and 2 together, I’m tired of fixing your claims just leave already.
