Even the thought of small layoffs that go under the radar is fueling anxiety in me. Is it true that they are happening right now, as someone mentioned in one of the threads below? Does anyone have more details?

Death by a thousand cuts.
A few senior cuts in Marketing today.
@2wke+1i1k5Nkb Senior Specialist level? How many of those actually exist? Last time I checked there weren’t too many folks at the Senior Specialist level and the new guidance makes it all but unattainable.
Probably bigger cuts to come with closing of the retail asset divestiture. Also, a couple of smaller Deep Basin and conventional assets are set to be announced. With the way the company is hoarding FCF they’re probably looking to buy additional oilsands assets, most likely at Surmont.
All these posts are pure speculation. All BS in layman terms.
The higher ranking individuals are appealing to management. Remove that all-in 500-600K expiring asset and groom the young kids to take their place. Agree that no one should feel safe or is too important. Get a contingency plan in place.
Isn't it cute listening to people who think they are untouchable? We are all marked people. Rank or experience means nothing.
Are you getting close to 50 or have you reached Senior Specialist level for 5+ years?
Did you kiss the ring or rim today?
The new strategy is head count reductions by small ongoing drive by’s that don’t get the herd all freaked out. Staffing costs are still too high in this company.
If you have more education or smarter than your manager then you are a target.
