Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Bad neighbor

Really Sh---y of State Farm to essentially put claims on 6 day work weeks during the holiday months. It really puts the cherry on top of a really sucky year. The least they could do is increase our pay to be more competitive with other companies in the industry.

It’s called working. Yes. Even physicians work nights and weekends. Reskill if you don’t like it. State Farm has free skill tools or tuition reimbursement. A lot of companies don’t. Cry baby.

@2wjw Not a bad idea really, even if it’s just temporarily. Raising Cane’s sent staff from their corporate office to work as fry cooks and cashiers in their restaurants to help deal with their staffing shortages, so why not try it here? With our low claims staff, there’s probably some some extra TMs hanging around with only half a team that might be available to help now too.

All analyst positions should be removed and put into express and initial loss claims positions. Claims is now fully staffed!

All the analysts have less than 5 years being an adjuster. Tell you something?

They should immediately transition to mandatory 7 days a week for you slugs if you have the time to post here. Maybe try returning a few calls in a timely manner.

We are all in this together, I now spend 46 hours looking at excel, and broken metrics tools. while also telling middle line managers employees need to work faster to correct the issues of the individuals with room temp IQ the talent recruiting dept hired.

I could spend 80 hours a week in useless meetings, and putting down employees! Grow up!

Yeah, this is a whole summer, and now the holidays. I practically missed every birthday, and holiday event in my family. I’m not that dedicated to this place anymore. I can’t wait until I’m out.

Even if we do make it past this OT, we still have to probably deal with a department of insurance investigation for the incompetence, and a possible mass lay off.

You cannot convince me in anyways what is going on now is sustainable. Especially with working from home being so common now.

When you don't know what you're doing or how to run a company, you hire consultants who then force your service business into a production model. Good stinking thinking...10 yr old could run this thing better. He'll retire soon then the next clone takes over.

Is all for the customer? BS! It is all for their bonuses!

IDK why they don't just schedule us for 6 days at this point. It's blatantly obvious they want to.

Today's meeting was all about shaming whoever takes PTO, and 'balancing the needs of the customer'. The customer can live without me bother them every morning, evening, and Saturday.
