Just heard from a senior leader that over 1500 plus agencies are for sale or cashing out by years end. Talk about transform growth this is it. Morale is at its lowest point

@2vuv+1iasYJap I am not a reputation defender, as long as I am making money I am happy, if I can add additional locations I will if it makes me money. If I can merge an agency into my existing book of business I will since it will minimize the extra overhead.
It is all about the money for me, I make more money now than I did as a corporate employee, I did work more at the beginning but that was because I was getting used to the insurance industry, now I work less and make more, but to be clear I still have to work and be aware of what my staff is doing. I have a good staff and am training one to be able to run the entire show and I will pay for them to perform well.
Since I have become an agency owner I have paid off my house, have no car payments, and have a decent amount of money in various investments (none in Allstate stock currently).
Hard work can pay off, well unless you are a corporate employee at Allstate.
@arw+1iasYJap Reputation Defender stooge (aka some unpaid id--t in HR) posts in the thread Rolfmao. Allstate is genuinely threatened by the existence of this board. To much truth?
The last reply was spot on. Finally someone with common sense who doesn’t embellish the truth. Well said!
I can tell you that as an agency owner there are always those that aren't happy, I do quite well with a decent amount of effort.
The ones that complain thought they could become an agency owner, hire some staff and sit back as the money rolls in and that is not true at all. The ones that make it will be involved in all aspects of the agency, find producers that know how to talk to people and can connect with them.
I know many agency owners that are "for sale" they will sell if someone offers some ridiculous amount to them, I know one that has been "for sale" for 3 years now. There are also those agency owners that will put their agency up for sale every year near the end of the year so if a buyer comes forward they will be able to sell and then collect their bonus.
I have several agencies around me that are "for sale" that I have talked to the owners about buying, none are actually serious about selling.
When you see or hear a certain number of agencies are for sale that isn't a true number of ones that are actually interested in selling.
Yes many agency owner are not happy with changes, but with everything in life you need to adapt. It doesn't matter if you are a business owner or an employee it is just part of life.
Transformative Growth is not for agents. Why would they be lowering agents commission? Why else is the new TG product giving direct buyers from the website a better price?
Plenty are drinking the kool aid at the Wiggums event in Vegas. Ask him why many are selling
Nobody with a credible marketable set of job skills would want to be an Exclusive Agency of Allstate. For the last 25 years the pool of EAs has devolved into saps who are convinced they can sell insurance in their local community because they can’t find a real job otherwise. The days of the rock star EA died a long time ago.
No - this sounds like a pretty reasonable number - agents want out !!
Senior leader=Fred in the mail room
Really it’s more like 2000
"jUsT hEaRd FrOm A sEnIoR lEaDeR!"
No "senior leader" would be divulging this info to some anonymous poster on a random website.
Incorrect- lucky if there are 250 for sale. Agents saying their agency is for sale is like whining claim reps saying they are going to quit. In the end it never happens.
