Do you think the current leadership team is doing a good job managing the company?

Our leadership is a joke. I am low on the totem poll with being a CSR and we are the ones that have to keep the promises that leadership makes. Actual holidays that are on the calendar as holidays have become working days . We are offered floating holiday that has an expiration on when we can take it, but still can’t request it off.
Our QIP is based on unobtainable goals . literally no way to reach them. I have spoke with my director about it and told him flat out I feel like it is a way to not pay out QIP. Every quarter they go up. Hello if we didn’t reach the first one how will we reach it if you set it higher. At this point I just do the bare minimum and everyone I work with feels the same way
I had no idea that the layoffs were coming, so when I filled out the Employee Engagement survey literally MINUTES after it opened, I not only wrote a 950 word "manifesto" about what I thought about the RTO (considering I was never IN the office) - I signed my name in the comments - not caring if they knew who I was. Hindsight.... probably NOT the best idea, but I survived round 1 of the layoffs (Likely because my manager and their manager agreed with my sentiments). Our front line leadership is the only reason I'm staying. I even applied for some internal positions a few weeks before all this to get a higher position to cover some of the cost of me having to commute to the office and decided I wouldn't leave my manager - she is the best and most supportive I've ever had. But Senior Management - boy - did I let them know what I thought about them on the survey. It may come back to haunt me, but if I end up going, I'll be glad I spoke my mind.
Ai is a buzz word to this company. How do they expect to use Ai when they cannot get their basic technology functions to work.
Problem is that they know AI even if it kicked them in the 🫏. No substance, just hubris.
I attended my department Townhall. They are bragging about AI innovations and calling each other as fearless leaders. They also skipped questions on layoffs during QnA.
To correct you, E13 target was 12.5% and was reduced to 10% under Joe Swedish (as well as several other AIP cuts to associates). That change took place 8 years ago, before Gail came on board.
But otherwise I agree, Gail su-ks.
Current leadership is ineffective, starting with Gail. Larry Glasscock was the best CEO. He was passionate and a real cheerleader of the rank and file. He is the only reason the company has AIP. Under Gail, E13 level dropped from 15% target to 12.5% resulting in a significant cut in bonus and saving the company lots of money they can then use for fat executive bonuses. Gail could learn a few things from Larry Glasscock. For a woman with a heavy sports background, it is surprising she lacks any cheerleading or coach-like style. Town hall meetings are worthless as she reads off a carefully prepared script and PPT slides then passes it off to someone else. Keep in mind this woman owns over $96 million in stock, most she didn’t pay a dime for. For that kind of money, she should be performing at a much higher level.
I was there during the Joe Swedish years. While a bit old school, it was a much better company. Today, Gail and crew spend disgusting amounts of money on wasted projects, initiatives with no ROI, and just pat themselves on their backs constantly as if they're saving the world. It's health insurance. Get over yourselves and take care of your customers not your shareholders.
I chose not to elaborate on the survey a few weeks ago. Most of my responses fell into neither agree/disagree aside from a professional commentary on move to offices (what a joke it's a tax shelter). I had an uneasy feeling that something was coming and I didn't want to self identify. I never believed those surveys were 100% anonymous. I believe front line leadership is trustworthy and truly cares about their associates. Some SVPs and above, absolutely not. We are all expendable regardless of performance or contribution. They are sleeping like babies every night knowing that they have a nice cushion in their portfolios to fall back on and if they have to go then there's always that golden parachute. They've lost the human component because their greed consumed it.
