You know this company is a joke when you see all the wrong people getting promoted. Took me sometime but I learned how to play the game. Once you realize that not caring and finding ways to make it look like your doing something when your not is the play. I found myself caring to much about fu---d up processes until it got to the point that said why care. Leadership is going to make stupid decisions regardless how I may feel. Most management is a joke. When you manage an area and you don't know what your people do how can you reasonably lead people. Keep drinking the Kool Aid. I'm getting closer to retirement and will continue to play the system until I'm free from these chains. If your young come in and use them like they use you but don't make it a career you will regret it in the end.

@2vbe+1d7xfY1B Don't ever think you will get anywhere at a small company. They give nothing to their employees, except grief. I am retired from SF. Best pension and company out there. Small company will give you nothing, no pension, raises. The owners keep it for themselves. Stick with the pension plan companies, is what I would tell any 20-year-old. I am 65 and have worked both small and SF.
Woof woof
@aqah … etc.
You all post the same d-mb cr-p obviously to make yourself feel good. Get off those video games and get a real job doing real work that takes brains. Post something f of essence and reality. For a change.
You must be getting the big bucks at Farm to do nothing and get those big promo bonus and stardom. Weirdos
Get over yourself and use your darn brain for once. And quit acting like some elite snob that works for an organization and gets to play their kook aid drinking and games & secretly plays an expert.
Grow up.
@ajgv-since you post every other day about how everyone else has “friends and family” and you have neither -maybe consider a dog? That might make the world seem better for you.
Get out of your charmed bubble may sayers and look at Management and every person getting those positions or in them now. ET is bad but many other areas are as well (married, dating, close relatives, divorced then remarried to another “leader” or in the promo path (and not due to real life experience, hard work, or being a great asset).
Too many to name or mention. Bloomington is probably the worst. Related closely or rural and local family and school friend ties.
Third party contracts married or dating internal organization dept Mgrs. galore.
Long list of names can be called out. This is how agenda driven orgs thrive and terrible decisions get made.
And they keep it close to their country club and “career path” chosen team members. Easy big money. Rural, categorized diverse, Silicone Valley and Chicago group-think drives decisions. Not critical risk based thinking. It’s unfortunate for employees and customers.
Reputable companies don’t allow conflicts of interest internally or externally like SF does.
Cheers
@7kxd-isn’t your family proud of what you have become. Hopefully you will get your well deserved layoff soon.
My last stupidvisor told me he closed 6 claims a day. Considering he's been a manager for 20 years, I told him things have changed since the stone age as I laughed at his obvious lie.
I always do the least amount of work to meet measurement goals. There's no incentive to excel or work to my true abilities. I'm on cruise control...
squ+1d7xfY1B I’m in my early 20s I agree. Work ethic isn’t really a problem. Honestly younger people usually bring more.
If someone offered me even a dollar more, with 1/4 less of the stuff I deal with I’d jump shifter faster than Noah building an ark.
We aren’t loyal to capitalist overlords like our boomer parents who didn’t have time to raise us. Figure it out.
All being good at your job gets you is more work. Being good at figuring out how to take credit for others work gets you promoted. This premise is true at any large corporation. If you seek true merit rewards go to work for a small business.
This has been a problem at SF since time and memorial. The work ethic and knowledge are not rewarded. In the political environment today, they will have their hands full because the "old work ethic" is no longer existent and today's generation are quick to throw up their hands and walk.
