I would say 90% of the territory managers are weak and don’t manage anything, primarily because they are solely focused on keeping the tenured reps at bay and not stepping on any toes. Top dogs stay on top, managers do nothing, and the rest of the team struggles, leaves, etc
If there are more layoffs coming you can guarantee SMB sales will be one of the first places they look. Territory is doing awful across the board. Look at DC — a few tenured guys that ki-l it and the rest of the team is left to dry by the sales manager. Tenured reps tell weak managers what to do on some teams.

Working for CDW has seen major pay plan changes only to benefit the stock price over 13 years. Bob Kirby is what's wrong with CDWG and his ability to make sellers less money, forcing those sellers to leave the company then blame the market on why numbers are going down.
Is it true that management cannot see individual responses but can tell how we answered on surveys how an age race s-x groups? Read that down the chain .There aren't many women in my group so I know to just answer them without complaining. Props- security boss - for that tip.
Suggesting the decline in CDW’s stock could continue is that fiscal 2024 earnings estimates have fallen 5% in the last 30 days to $9.46 per share compared to EPS estimates of $9.97 a month ago. More concerning and taking away from CDW’s growth narrative is that FY25 EPS estimates have dipped more than 2% in the last month.
Those are our salaries while our CEO travels in private planes to meetings and even to go to and from work and from her second home in some other state. ON OUR DIME.

New hires in sales get a 35,000 base salary with zero cost of living adjustments. Coupled with the fact that tenured AM’s hoard the only accounts worth working. So new hires get a poverty base salary and a book comprised of the same accounts for 15 years that have zero productivity and have been passed down from rep to rep. It’s a cluster. Tenured reps doing whatever possible to keep leads and accounts safe from others. Look at any SMB team. 2 or 3 tenured reps that have great accounts, and the rest of the team is earning less than 70k annual. Joke company, so glad I’m gone and earning more in base salary (115) than CDW could ever provide.

I’m a first time visitor.. I knew our workplace was fu---d up but it didn’t used to be. We made big $$$$$$ year after year and now we are hiring young fu--s that think they know it all and their fu--ing mouths are bigger than their results. We have been spiraling down quarter after quarter and not hitting our numbers in the last 3 years which is the time that we started lowering our hiring standards. The new hires aren’t worth a fu-k and I blame our coworker support leaders that hired these pieces of sh-t . I heard we had hired a leader with no experience in CwS or CE or CS or what ever we are calling ithem this year. We are now stuck with coworkers that don’t have our experience and aren’t willing to listen to anyone. They know it all and the results with them is lower financial numbers. I hope they get their sh-t together because I want them to make the money like we had done for decades. I need good bonuses again. So far, the newer hires in the last 3 to 5 year's aren’t even close.

Who ever sent those posts, thank you. You sold me. I doubted it but I saw the website and called a friend of mine in security and it is true. And the BIA stuff is correct. They did my department too and the security guy that did it was named Jack and he was as great as you say and he had three contractors with him sitting who didn't say sh-t . And as you noted in the aforementioned, the contractors are reporting to the VP in outlook. We can all see that. And they are named in that website too. Thank you for clarifying.

Oh my! That explains it all. His department VP's picture and name are on that company's site. His linkedin page puts him there too.
We had a Business Impact Analysis conducted by our security team our department by a knowledgeable CDW coworker who is a CDW security safety and BC senior manager. He had the contractors from that company join us so they could learn how to do it. He led the entire analysis to our core group the entire time and openly taught the contractors as he did everything. He actually wrote the entire report and plan too. He said it was not the first one he had done with them and that they were struggling to pick it up because of the experience needed to do that work.
I later spoke to him and asked him why he was doing everything and why the contractors were just sitting there and he said the contractors had never done them and their company hadn't either. I asked him why we were using them if they weren't SMEs and he said his VP asked him to use them instead of a company named Controling Risks that he liked or even another one called Deloitte who does Business Impact analysis that the CDW security safety BC team was using before his VP came in. I was like " why are we even using them here if their company had never done them before and the contractors had never done anything related to business continuity and never did business impact analysis".
I tried to reach him today and was told he left CDW for another company for the same position and therefore won't be disciplined for expressing his frustration to me. He left about a half a year after he did our analysis. We lost a valuable coworker in that guy. But now I know why they were used here and it is deplorable.
Its the "source guy" again. I called my guy at in our safety security team and he said they were asked to be more "cognizant" of sharing team discussions with others so I will not mention details about him that may uncover him. have the answers and they are problematic. The contractor company name is Global Security Innovative Strategies https://gsis.us/. He told me that his boss is still pictured and named in the website. This is a conflict of interest and a bad visual for them. Please look it up yourselves. My source told me he no longer has the principle and partner title but remains "active" there. His boss has been overheard having non-CDW discussions with them. My source said they spent hundreds of thousands of $ with them the last 12 to 18 months on something they had never done. They used them to do business continueity and crisis manager work for CDW instead of other companies that specialized in that. They were not the cheapest company and my source showed me two other companies with experts that charged less than GSIS and a third that had been used by them before his boss came to CDW. Here is the kicker. One of my source's team members had to spend days training them on how to do some basic bus impact assessments that they charged for because the company had never done them and neither had the company. His team member also had to teach them what business continuety even is. Then he had to sit with them and ask most of the questions through all of the assessments and they charged us. His team guy even told them what to write in the reports and had to go in and change everything when they tried on their own. The boss never had experience in Biz conti so my source is confused how he got the job. He said his boss knew our GC in legal so he was hired by his friend. I later confirmed through a close friend in purchasing of the use of GSIS and how much we spent. It matches all that was said here. So now you can all access the truth by the site and check within our outlook system for the names of the VP safety security and the contractors, and tie them into the GSIS website. Those with access to it or friends in purchasing can find the invoices there
It is obvious that much of what is being written on here can’t be trusted. Sadly the coworker who is telling the lies also (obviously) can’t be trusted. He is a coworker many years past his prime and he is running scared.

I don’t know if our law folks would really allow a contractor to work directly for a prior owner or officer or executive or leader of the contract comoaby. It’s just difficult to believe because the optics are terrible and so is the financial and ethical risks. And if it is true that they don’t specialize in the service need and we spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on them to do it? Hard to believe we have the correct details on that. That would bring into question the leaders of the three companies. I see the contractor part is true. I can see that. Does anyone know the company and what they were asked to do? It’s just too difficult to buy that one.

The leaders of Legal and Compliance are MEN from two states with very conservative views and distorted beliefs about g-ns and women and it is showing. No wonder they protected a person about a g-n in the workplace issue. No wonder they called for an inquiry of a female led department. Shame on both of you and the Safety leader. It sounds like they need to act in the same way they did in our coworker success group and bring in an outside company in to CDW to look at the legal and safety and security and business continue IT teams and give recommendations on changes including changes in leadership. Coworker success didn’t have possible activity that might be against the law happening in our team. Why hasn’t our coworker success coworkers been asked to put eyes on this? Do those two departments have that much power that they are spared the same consequences coworker success had to deal with? Why did Carolyn leave and her team have an inquiry and and two men get are spared the same scrutiny and outcomes. One has to wonder if it would be handled differently if those departments were led by women or minorities. Outrageous.
That is all heartbreaking and i have lost hope in CDW's leaders. But I am done too. Our efforts are futile. This is my second and final post. Let's all just walk away from this and keep our customers informed of where we are and will be and move on and look for better jobs out there. Thanks for that but speaking up on here helps us inside and helps our former coworkers and friends. i have never been to one but it must feel like therapy knowing we are not alone in going through this sh-t. To the poster that said we should stop, we knew about the award money spent in the caribean and the automation in the center meetings. Those are all in other posts . We also knew about the contract friends in security that the VP talks to about CDW sh-t and some of his team coworkers. There was a post about his friends and contractors that was posted in early October when this chat all started but the post was removed because the poster broke some layoff.com rules. As for me i will keep talkin up and thank layoffs.com for giving us this confidential platform to speak and the privacy. It makes us healthy and might save some jobs. Thank you for this site. I have told other friends about it who didnt know it existed. Youre all appreciated.
Yeah yeah. The automation of distribution centers is true too. I know the companies that were considered before they made their choice on which one to hire. I heard from a security friend that I have known for over 20 years that his boss is allowed to use friends from a company where he was a partner and part OWNER and he’s contracted his old company to help him at cdw and he brought them in to do something they had never done before and have no experience doing. So we don’t hire experts, we just spend hundreds of thousands on friends to do it? Where is the ethics coworkers? He even showed me where they are listed reporting to him in the system and I looked them up and they do work for that company and did not have any experience doing what they have been contracted to do here for hundreds of thousands of dollars the last 12 months. You can look too and find them. There are three of them but one is his closest friend. That is a conflict of interest and what kind of law leader do we have that approves it? The visual of that is terrible. Ya really don’t think he ‘s getting money for that on the side? He told me his boss’ friend and head of legal approved that too. If not, why not hire a company that is fu--ing specialized in that work? My security friend said one of his team coworkers had to train them how to do it and it wasn’t even security sh-t they did. And what about the award trips to the islands and entertainment at a time we are laying off coworkers? My point is what does it fu--ing matter? They don’t fu--ing care and won’t do anything so let’s stop this chat and just live with it. It’s the corporate world and we are just numbers on a ledger. Compliance and legal don’t exist here. It’s how it goes and we can only hope the board steps in and rights this fu--ing ship before these a--holes take us all down. We would feel listened to and the culture would return and many of us would stop looking for new gigs. But for now, let’s stop wasting our time and not write any more on here and just move on.
